Sound Advice Hearing would like to inform our valued clients that our Wi******er Hearing Centre will be temporarily closed for an exciting and long-overdue refurbishment. This essential work is part of our ongoing commitment to providing the highest standard of hearing care in a modern, comfortable environment.

Our Wi******er clinic will be closed from Wednesday 23rd July, 2025 until 5th August, during which time no face-to-face appointments will be available. However, our telephone lines will remain open throughout the refurbishment period. If you need advice, support, or assistance, please call our usual number and a member of our team will be happy to help.

For hearing aid repairs during this time, we kindly ask that devices be sent directly to our Head Office. Please contact us by phone for further instructions or assistance with this process.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve your clinic experience.

We look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed and improved Wi******er Hearing Centre very soon.

Our front of house team across our clinics is simply brilliant. The list of everything they do is simply too long to detail.

But to give you some idea...

They liaise with patients, manufacturers, audiologists and each other on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of each clinic. They place the orders, service equipment, manage the diaries, manage the stock, confirm appointments, shuffle the diaries, fix some hearing aids here and there, offer an ear to everyone who walks through the door.

We would be genuinely lost without them. So, to Diane & Julie (Horncastle), Lynne (Hull), Lorraine (Norwich), Sharon (King's Lynn), Tracey & Katrina (Lincoln & Nottingham), Jane & Lauren (Market Deeping) and Suzanne (Wi******er), a huge thank you. Your customer service sets us apart from others, and we get so many beautiful words about your care, compassion and professionalism.

Many of you have already met Gemma in person, and sent us wonderful reviews about her, but here is a little bit about her for those who haven't yet met her. Our clinics manager, Karen, is Gemma's mum!

Gemma is a qualified Hearing Care Assistant (HCA) and works across a few of our clinics at present, primarily King's Lynn - whilst also studying at University to get her hearing aid dispenser qualification. Just one more year to go having passed this year! She has been with Sound advice for over 2 years, after she started with us to get hands on experience in the healthcare industry.

No wonder she loves a chance for a holiday when she gets it with all the miles she does covering clinics, daycentres and studying. Best of luck for next year Gemma!

To finish the week, here is Karen!

We have met our audiologists these past couple of weeks, and we will soon come on to our front of house staff. But we can't do that without meeting the lady that keeps all our branches running smoothly!

Karen is based at our King's Lynn branch, and is the Clinics Manager for all our locations. Liaising with the clinics on a regular basis, customer care is at the very top of her (huge!) list of priorities.

Proud mum to two girls (one of whom we will meet soon!), Karen loves to spend time with them when she can, and loves to get out for a good dog walk outside of work 🐾

Anne-Marie is the Financial Director for Sound Advice, keeping tabs on all the finer details of all our branches, ensuring we run as efficiently as possible to offer the best experience and pricing for everyone who walks through the door.

A big fan of the outdoors and sunshine, Anne-Marie loves to travel (warm climates only! 🌞) and hits the tennis courts every week. She was once a children's swimming teacher in the States combining many passions in one go!

No team is complete without a mascot! 🐾

Willow resides at Head Office and absolutely loves a fuss. If she's not asking for rubs, or giving you a ball to throw and play with her, she can be found barking at the squirrels teasing her running along the top of the garden fence 🐿

While all our staff are compassionate, Willow is the only one who will go for hugs with everyone who walks through the door 🥰

Last, by but no means least, in our team of audiologists is our MD, Paul.

Paul has been working in audiology since 1993, and started Sound Advice Hearing in 2003, which has grown to add a further nine clinics across the country! Paul is highly regarded and trusted in the audiology sector, and recently held the position of Chairman of AIHHP.

With a clinic at Head Office, as well as covering holidays in our other branches, liaising between staff and manufacturers, ensuring staff are all up to speed with the latest research and technology, and keeping an eye on all nine clinics, it's no wonder he likes to clear his mind either in the garden or with a blast on his motorbike outside of work!

Now, to our most southern location to meet Louise at our Wi******er branch. Louise joined Sound Advice Hearing in 2024 and has brought a whole lease of new life and energy to the branch.

With over 15 years in the industry, an MSc in Audiology, and personal experience of hearing loss, Louise came to us with her passion and enthusiasm to offer top-level customer care, as is the Sound Advice way. We receive endless reviews and comments for her work, so you know you are in the best of care with her.

Jess is the audiologist at our Lincoln clinic in Bracebridge Heath, and also in Nottingham. Also to be found covering in Hull when required! Not content with all those miles, Jess often goes - literally - out of her way for her clients too, ensuring that her customer service is always top notch.

Having got married towards the end of last year, Mrs Watson loves spending her weekends with her husband and their two dogs. Along with Katrina and Tracey from the Lincoln branch, they love to find an opportunity for 'team-building' whenever they can. And what a team they are! 🌞
