WhatsApp Feedback from the client always makes me smile :)

"Hey πŸ‘‹. I ride Bunny this morning. She was really keen to canter and kept going. Walk was normal but she definitely had her go faster head on 🀩 "

Thank you Sarah Short πŸ™Œ πŸͺ· ❀️

How massage can help in winter months:

* improved circulation to the superficial and deeper muscles, this boosts oxygen delivery and supports the removal of metabolic waste products that tend to accumulate more readily in deconditioned muscles

* less exercise can lead to muscles loosing tone but before building them back up they need help reconditioning - and this is where our hands become incredibly useful πŸ₯°

*helps restore elasticity in the collagen matrix within both - muscle fibres and surrounding fascia
*reduced work can make collagen become slightly less compliant, which leads to stiffness and reduced range of movement but through controlled pressure, stretching techniques and mobilisation of the soft tissue, I can encourage the collagen fibres to realign and soften

*hugely beneficial in neuromuscular communication as time off can affect proprioception and coordination but massage can help to identify compensatory patterns early and can enhance the nervous and musculoskeletal system which helps the horse to feel more organised in its body, improves balance, and supports smoother, more coordinated movement when returning to full work 😍

✨Longer warm ups and cool downs are highly recommended on colder days
🌟 And short daily exercises can improve joint movement, this can include πŸ‘‡

πŸ₯‡In hand walks
πŸ₯‡Long lining
πŸ₯‡Ground work ridden or in hand
πŸ₯‡Pole work ridden or in hand
πŸ₯‡Carrot stretches

Poll release

Kiz is head shy but today was a miracle, she let me massage her mandible and poll area 🌟

Equine poll massage releases deep tension, improving flexibility, circulation, and overall relaxation by targeting tight muscles at the poll (base of the skull) and TMJ, leading to better headset, suppleness, and responsiveness; it helps resolve behavioral issues like head tossing or reluctance to bend, aids in injury recovery, and strengthens the bond between horse and handler, offering significant physical and mental benefits for performance and well-being.l 🌟
