We are so quick to measure what children can write... but how often do we stop to notice how deeply they can express?
Before handwriting comes meaning.
Before phonics comes feeling.
Before expectations come expression.
This - the paint, the marks, the freedom - this is where it all begins!
Art is not a "messy extra. It is the foundation of communication, creativity, and emotional wellbeing. And if we truly value children, we must first value the ways they naturally express themselves.
