True or False?

You can’t use a defibrillator unless you’re trained.

❌ False!

Anyone can use an AED — it gives clear voice instructions every step of the way.

You don’t need medical training to save a life ❤️

Just the confidence to act fast when it matters most.

What better way to mark Restart A Heart Day than to teach life-saving skills! 🫶

On October 16th, we delivered Emergency Paediatric First Aid training at Baby Ballet Romford, helping them to gain the confidence to act in an emergency. 👶🩹

Every heartbeat matters — and knowing what to do can make all the difference. ❤️

❤️‍🔥 Today is Restart a Heart Day! ❤️‍🔥

Every second counts when someone’s heart stops.

Early CPR and defibrillation can triple their chance of survival. ⚡️

You don’t need to be a medical professional to save a life — just the confidence to act fast and start CPR. 🙌

Take a few minutes today to remind yourself how to recognise cardiac arrest, call 999, start chest compressions, and use a defibrillator.

You could be the reason someone gets a second chance. 💓

😮‍💨 Did you know? Someone having an asthma attack might need your help to find and use their inhaler.

Staying calm, reassuring the person, and helping them take their medication correctly can make a huge difference 💙

It only takes a few moments to act — but it could help them breathe easier and recover faster. 🌬️

💚Today on World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that mental health is just as important as physical health.

Our Mental Health First Aid training gives you the skills to recognise the signs, start a conversation, and support someone in need.

Let’s make mental wellbeing everyone’s priority — today and every day. 💚

🩸 True or False? 🩸

You should apply a tourniquet to any bleeding wound.

❌ FALSE!

Tourniquets are only used for severe, life-threatening bleeding — when direct pressure or bandaging isn’t enough to stop the flow.

For most cuts or injuries, apply firm, direct pressure to the wound using a clean cloth or dressing.

Tourniquets are a last resort — not your first step.

🚑 Myth or Truth? 🚑

“You should wait for the ambulance to arrive before starting CPR.”

❌ MYTH!

If someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, every second counts.
You must start CPR immediately — before medical help arrives.

Early CPR can double or even triple the chances of survival. You don’t have to be perfect — you just have to act.

💡 Did you know? Ice can be your best friend when it comes to sprains and strains! ❄️

Just apply an ice pack wrapped in cloth for 20 minutes to reduce swelling and ease the pain.

Great day at the Emergency Services Show! 🚨🩺

I had some valuable conversations to help take our first aid training to the next level:

🔴 Learned the latest techniques for managing life-threatening bleeding from top emergency product providers.

🧠 Spoke with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society about improving mental health support for learners on our MHFA courses.

❤️ Met with the amazing team at Bra Off, Defib On to help break the taboo around female cardiac arrest response.

Excited to bring these insights into our training and continue improving care and confidence in emergencies!
