Hi everyone 💛

I’m currently looking for donations to support our sensory sessions, and any help would be hugely appreciated!

We’re especially looking for:
• Peppa Pig & Bluey figures
• Toy cars
• Animal figures
• Foam mats
• Water toys
• Fish bubble tube
• Sensory toys
• Any sound/light toys
• Train set

If you have anything you’re no longer using and would be happy to donate, it would make a real difference to the children who attend our sessions.

NEW VENUE⭐️

We now have a new venue for our SENsory Adventures sessions!
Our new venue has an outdoor area, perfect for some outdoor sensory activities now the sun has started to show up for us☀️

Our sessions will now be held at Fryerns Community Centre, Whitmore Way, Basildon, Essex, SS14 2NN.

We are so excited for you all to come along and enjoy our sunny SENsory Adventures☀️

Our tuff trays are always popular with these lovely girls!

For our Easter session, we created 3 explorative tuff trays…

The first was popcorn kernels with plastic Easter eggs & scoops! We scooped and poured the kernels, and made shakers with the Easter eggs - creating loud and quiet sounds with big shakes and little shakes🥚

Our second was our colourful oobleck - starting as half blue and half red - slowly mixing to create purple, then adding more cornflour to make it thicker, and then adding more water to make it stickier, and adding more paint to investigate the colour change🫟

Our third tray targeted sight and fine motor skills - using the magnifying glasses to search for items in the shredded paper and using the tweezers to pull them out🐰

Welcome to SENsory Adventures🫧🫟

We’re all about creating fun, relaxed sensory experiences for children aged 2-12 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, based in South Essex. Our sessions are designed to encourage little ones to explore & play, using all of their different senses! In a supportive and safe environment, where everyone is free to be themselves!

With gentle lights, textures, sounds, and movement, we make sensory play both exciting and soothing.

At SENsory Adventures, we celebrate every milestone, big or small, and love seeing children build confidence while having fun. Families are always welcome - come join the experience!

Tuff trays September to February🫟🫧

Over the last few months, we have put together a variety of different tuff tray activities - always coming up with new ideas for different sensory experiences! We have explored sound, smell, taste, wet messy play, dry messy play, and different textures.
From chickpea foam to gingerbread sand, shaving foam to coloured rice, cloud dough to spaghetti, sand to soil, oobleck to tinsel!
Some children have their preferences, others dive head first (sometimes literally!) into every activity!

✨ Our Sensory Toy Area ✨

Our sensory toy area is a calm, welcoming space where children can explore, regulate, and play at their own pace.

With tactile toys, calming resources, visual sensory items, and cosy corners, there’s something to support every sensory need. Some children jump straight in, others take their time - and both are perfectly okay here.

This space encourages confidence, independence, and emotional regulation - all through play 🌈

We love seeing little ones find their favourites and feel truly comfortable in the space.
