⭐ TRAINING UPDATE ⭐

Training stepped up a notch today. We upped the distance and completed just over 10 miles from Southwater to Partridge Green — and the sunshine definitely helped keep us going ☀️

🧡 Feeling strong and motivated preparing for the South Coast Ultra Challenge in September, in aid of St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley.

Today the Caring Hands team took part in Dementia Training delivered by Dawn from the Alzheimer's Society, and it was incredibly insightful.

In our work, we support people living with many different types of dementia, all at different stages of their condition. Having the opportunity to deepen our understanding of the disease — especially from the perspective of the person living with dementia — was invaluable.

We explored how symptoms can affect someone’s daily experience, communication, emotions and sense of identity, and how small changes in our approach can make a huge difference to their wellbeing.

Continued learning like this helps us provide care that is not only safe and effective, but truly compassionate and person‑centred.

A big thank you to Dawn for such an engaging and thought‑provoking session. 💜

The clocks go forward one hour at bedtime as we move into British Summer Time. 🌸 We do this every spring to make the most of the longer daylight hours — giving us brighter evenings and a little boost as we head toward summer. ☀️
