I had recently been thinking the bunting we offer might not have huge appeal outside of a children's birthday party... Then look what I stumbled across in my local charity shop . 14metres of brand new reusable bunting suitable for any celebration indoor or outdoors.

Here's the kit returned just a day after it was used for a little girls party. This customer sent an enquiry on Wednesday and had collected the kit by Thursday afternoon. The party took place on Saturday and here we are on Sunday. Just to say that hiring can be very flexible and straightforward, so please don't hesitate to contact us with your party needs - whether they be months or days away.

Now the we are back in the school/preschool routine I will be having a good old sort out of our unwanted toys and books. This doesn't come naturally to me but knowing it's going somewhere useful rather than a landfill make it much easier. Here are some great ideas from Party Kit Network CIC]

Having a post-Christmas sort out?

Sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do with unwanted toys and many end up in landfill before their time.

Here are some ideas for rehoming toys...

🐻 Donate toys and books to your local playgroup, toy library, childminders or children’s services.

🐻 Donate to a local women's refuge or similar organisation.

🐻 Sell or gift via Facebook Marketplace or Local Groups.

🐻 Take broken toys to a local repair cafe.

🐻 Save the item and re-gift to another child!

Last weekend was our eldest child's birthday party, held at The Ghyll in Southwater. The kit played it's part in hosting 30 children and their adults, and it was great to see it in action for myself (though I only managed these rushed pictures).

This isn't the first time I've tried making my own advent calendar but this year I'm really chuffed with how it's come together. I saw a great post from about how an advent calendar doesn't have to be full of waste. I've taken inspo from Lizzie's family and included "things to do, make, eat, enjoy together", many of which we probably would have done anyway but I love how writing them down gives them significance. Last year after setting up Party-go-round we quite quickly lost momentum while we as a family delt with a pandemic, a pregnancy, selling a house, buying a house, relocating, new baby, and finally settling our eldest into reception! However we are so excited to have booked our first Horsham based party and can't wait to start serving our new community! Solutions for smaller lockdown parties

From 4th July, in line with guidance from the we will be offering the kit out with a maximum settings of 12. This reflect the advice from the English government regarding gatherings for multiple households. Some amendments will need to be made to content of the existing kit so please keep an eye out for our new lockdown offerings. The key things to consider when booking are:

*Small hires can take place, up to a maximum of 12 settings.

*Please use online payment only.

*Please cancel your booking if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms of COVID-19; this includes a cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell.

*Food and drinks should not be shared between households and please avoid sharing utensils, dishes and cups.

*Please be aware that your booking may be cancelled if the party kit owner or a member of their household develop any symptoms of COVID-19 or the local lockdown restrictions change.
