It's back! Nick and all the Responders say, "Thank you to Balal & Chris at the Hen & Chicken for sorting out the relocation of the defibrillator cabinet. It is all back up and running again and SECAmb have been informed."

One or two of our eagle-eyed residents have spotted some work going on at the Hen and Chicken, meaning the defibrillator is temporarily out of action. Never fear: it is just being moved to a different part of the building – nearer the front - because of the new path they have put in. They are just waiting for an electrician to do the installation. It is marked as out of service on The Circuit (a national database of all the public access defibs in the UK) so the ambulance service are aware.
Thank you to all our good neighbours who are keeping an eye on our precious defibrillators. :-)

And then there were 14 :-)
Thank you very much to Sue Gower, for her financial contribution in memory of her late mother, and to Steve Fudge, Facilities Manager for the Scouts & Guides HQ on Church Lane, for making this Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) possible.
Access to a PAD significantly improves the likelihood of surviving an Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) and it is great to have added another to our village network. You can see all 14 in the attached map.
We are discussing dates with the Scouts as to when will be a good time to run a familiarisation session for local residents on using a Defibrillator and delivering Basic Life Support
