The benefits are boundless, not just refreshed, brighter, lifted skin but a fantastic way to relieve tension. Had a really amazing adventure of a day, thanks to Graeme Kirby for being my cycling buddy today. And it was so lovely seeing Paula Lister & Jenny Batchelor and family in Lindfield, made my day seeing you all.
It was a tough ride in places but I cycled every bit. Even conquered Ditchling Beacon!
Also, thank you Derry 😘 giving up Father’s Day to be the best husband ever 🥰 and driving me to London and then to Brighton to collect me on my mad adventure.

Tomorrow I’m swapping my running shorts for a padded pair to protect my t**h and cycling the London to Brighton bike ride.
If anyone would like to donate just a small amount it would make a massive difference to the British Heart Foundation and the amazing work they do. And it would mean the saddle sore would be worth it 😆

Are you listening to your body? When training for an event, recovery days are as important as your training days. It gives your body and mind a chance to rest, recover and reset. It doesn't mean you have to stop completely, just alternate the higher intensity activities with something lower impact is sometimes enough. This gives your muscles a good chance to recover, replenish and be stronger. It also allows your mental capacity to rest and mindset to be refreshed.

A massage can be a great way to enhance the recovery stage when you're training, flushing the toxins through your body that get trapped in your muscles and reduces the risk of injury. It can give you a sense of wellbeing and relaxation, benefiting your performance overall.

If you’re training for an event in the Spring you’re probably well into your plan now. The increased time on your feet, possibly running further than you ever have done before, will have an effect on your whole body.

Don’t forget it’s not just your legs that will feel this increased workload, perhaps you’re feeling tension in your neck and shoulders during or after your run. This could be due to a slight change in posture as you tire when you’re running.

As fatigue sets in we naturally slouch forward a little, perhaps rounding and hunching the shoulders. When you’re next running and you find this happening, try raising your head, make yourself tall and push your hips forward.

If the tightness persists, consider a Sports Massage to help relieve the tension.
A regular sports massage when training can be a great way to prevent any injuries and stamp on any niggles before they become a bigger problem.

DM me for further information.

Let me know below if that helps you.
