This month’s moon name is representative of the abundance and energy of the season – the peak of Springtime. And what a beautiful time it is!

With nature in full and vibrant bloom, I invite you to join me, in the nature-rich surroundings of The Sussex Country Yurt, for an evening of gentle movement, mindfulness and meditation.

We’ll gather together, amidst blossom and birdsong, sharing some simple, seasonal practices that will benefit both body and mind.

Our time together will include….

🌸 A gentle yoga flow (suitable for all abilities including beginners)

🌸 Meditation and mindfulness practice rooted in nature.

🌸 Seasonal guidance and Ayurvedic insight to benefit holistic health.

Yoga & Meditation for Wintertime ❄️

Sunday 26th January, 4-6pm at The Sussex Country Yurt

As we sink deeply into wintertime - a time where all in nature becomes still and falls silent - I invite you to join me for a few hours of nurturing and nourishment, warmed by the wood burner in the cosy comfort of the Sussex Country Yurt, where we’ll embrace this season of slowing down and settle into the stillness.

I’ll lead you in some late afternoon movement, mindfulness and meditation, inspired by the season and, as always, guided by nature.

Our time together will include:

❄️ Slow and gentle yoga flow, breathwork, guided meditation and mindfulness practices.

❄️ Deep stretch, and restorative yoga, seasonal guidance and Ayurvedic insight for holistic health and wellbeing.

As the sun begins to set on the summer season, join me to embrace the last of its radiant rays, with an afternoon of gentle, mindful movement, meditation and nature connection. 🍃

Set within the beautiful sanctuary of The Sussex Country Yurt we’ll take some time out to reflect and prepare for the change in season as we slowly shift from fruitfulness to harvest. 🌾

Love Parks Week 2024 💚🩷

Big love and thanks to everyone that came to join us during our little tour of the Horsham District.

From Horsham Park, to Henfield Common. Leechpool Woods to Fletchers Croft.

It’s been such a sunshiny joy to meet so many fantastic families and to work with a fabulous team of talented folk.

All these events were free to attend and so thoughtfully and brilliantly organised - Horsham District Council absolutely knocked this one out of the park/s!!! 💚🩷

Yesterday we celebrated the Spring Equinox with an afternoon of movement, mindfulness and nature connection, taking time to pause and realign with this fresh new season and vibrant new energy. 🌱🌞

Our yoga flow was playful, our sunny surroundings were joyful. 🌸

And it was still light when we left at 6pm. Boom! 🥳

‘Grey’ seems to have been the overarching colour this week, (pop your hat back on soon please Mr Sun - I do so miss you!) so I’ve been more eagle-eyed than ever, in my search for all things glorious & green!

The emergence of wild garlic on my morning riverside walk was cause for a big smile & celebration!

Not just one to seek out with your eyes, but a sensory adventure for your nose too - once they take a hold of the woodland floor you’ll smell them before you see them! Little signs & smells of Spring! 🌱💚

Foraging has become such a popular thing, I probably don’t need to tell you that wild garlic is wild food. But here’s a gentle reminder to forage responsibly - don’t take too much from one place, don’t take more than you need, don’t dig up bulbs or roots. (And of course - always be 100% confident in your identification! 😘)

Imbolc 🌱

An ancient Celtic festival celebrating the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. That’s where we’re at!

A little dance between the seasons as they shift. Spring slowly flexing its muscles. Winter beginning to loosen its grip.

In terms of ‘noticing nature’ well, there is no better time!

Winter has provided a blank canvas of bare branches and empty earth. And so, as Spring starts to weave her magic of fresh shoots and burgeoning buds, the stirring of new life is really easy to observe.

And frankly, quite fabulous! Eyes open - and enjoy! 💚

Happy Blue Sky Monday! 💙

Until just now (& a little Insta scroll!) I hadn’t realised that today is ‘Blue Monday’ - allegedly the saddest day of the year (concept originally dreamed up by a travel agent trying to convince people they needed to book a sunshine getaway…..😏)

My Blue Monday began, as most of my days do, with a morning walk and today, an absolute belter of a blue sky! 🌞

My morning walks are one of my ‘non-negotiables’ - something I know I need to do to keep myself mentally and physically fit and well.

💚My walks don’t necessarily make everything okay, but they help me to be okay with everything that isn’t! 💚

Even on cloudy days, hammering it down with rain days, just a ten minute walk early in the morning is proven to ~

💚 Energise you
💚 Boost your mood, confidence & focus
💚 Reduce stress, anxiety and depression
💚 Increase positivity and productivity

Here’s hoping that instead of persuading you that you need a holiday, this post might inspire you to stick on your walking shoes and see what Blue Tuesday, Blue Wednesday or Blue Thursday (forecast is looking good folks! 🙃) has to offer you. 💚💙

Body Mind Balance

In this fast paced, hectic world that we live in, where we are always ‘doing’ and so rarely just ‘being’, it’s no surprise that we often find ourselves out of balance. Tired, stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. Pushed completely to the extreme.

I believe that making some small but simple key changes to our everyday lives can have a hugely positive impact and bring us back to a state of equanimity. A place of calmness, clarity and contentment.

By creating more space and time to care for ourselves, by living more consciously and in tune with nature, we can absolutely rebalance the scales.

With over nineteen years of experience within the wellness and fitness industry, I’ve developed a holistic and intuitive approach to navigating the ever changing landscapes of physical and mental wellbeing. This continues to develop and grow as I am always an eager student, constantly learning and evolving.
