Our story
An independent optician is a rare find in the centre of Horsham. Louise Sloan took over the practice in Piries Place in 2015, where her father had worked as the optometrist since it opened in 1995. Louise has previously had 20 years’ experience working in independent high street opticians as well as within hospital eye departments. There she specialised in glaucoma, macular degeneration and children’s vision. You can expect a professional, helpful service in relaxed surroundings, aiming to give you the best possible eye care. There’s a small, friendly team so you’ll usually see the same faces every time you come in. You can choose from a wide range of frames to suit all styles and budgets. Check out our gorgeous new frames from designers such Vanni from Italy, Pro Design from Denmark and British designers Booth & Bruce and William Morris. There’s a full contact lens service also offering multifocal and coloured lenses. Did you know that an eye examination can indicate common medical conditions including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes? We can also act quickly against glaucoma, cataracts and age-related macular degeneration, which can cause vision loss if left untreated.
