A simple breathing exercise for when your mind is jumping about like the dog in the video clip….. it is very simple and can be done anywhere. Close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths. Then count your breathing. Breathe in for 1, out for 2. In for 3, out for 4, in for 5, out for 6, all the way up to 10. It is like the ebbing and flowing of the tide. If you find your mind wanders off and starts jumping around like the dog start again at 1. While you are counting it is difficult to think about anything else. You can do this wherever you are and no one will know. It will calm your mind and body quickly so next time you are feeling stressed or anxious give it a try.
