Do you have Fungal Nails? (pix in comments to check) Not sure? Take a test. Know for sure. Get advice and decide what to do. There are options.

Patients say they’ve spent good money on over the counter lotions and potions but nothing has worked.

Spoiler- fungus likes to hang around so needs a bit of work to tackle

… and the source of the fungus is in the skin under the toenail not in the nail.

Ah! Yes… that’s probably why those topicals haven’t worked.

Did a pedi in a box today for Myra Arthur my lovely Mum, as part of a medical pedicure experiment. It smelled very much like a spa. However, we won't be doing any more. My chiropody chair isn't really made for it, and the combo of spa and clinic didn't quite work for me. I will leave that to the professional pedicure therapists and stick to fungal nails and corns. Well done and thanks Mum for always being the first to try what I am testing!

Had a first rate CPD day on ingrown toenails, and much more with the esteemed Robert Isaacs lecturer, author and experienced podiatrist with a busy practice at Headcorn Podiatry in Kent. He made feet funny, and the learning easy. 👣👣

Hi from the foot lady! Last week saw a crumbly fungal nail on a big toe, itchy athletes foot on the soles, a painful ingrown nail that needed gentle coaxing back out. Just as well I make sure everything in the clinic is properly cleaned in between patients and all instruments are put through rigorous sterilisation protocols.
