- Keep your living space cool.
- Close windows and curtains/blinds during the day, and open them at night when the temperature outside has gone down.
- Electric fans can help if the temperature is below 35 degrees.

Also, please note - anyone who takes the following medication is at higher risk of heat stroke, heat exhaustion, dehydration and sun sensitivity. Please take extra care to keep yourself hydrated, and cool during periods of intense heat:
- Beta-blockers: Metoprolol, atenolol, carvedilol, propranolol.
- Diuretics: Furosemide, chlorthalidone, hydrochlorothiazide.
- Antidepressants: SSRIs (e.g., sertraline, fluoxetine, citalopram) and TCAs (e.g., amitriptyline, nortriptyline).
- Antihistamines: Promethazine, doxylamine, diphenhydramine.
- Antipsychotics: Aripriprazole, clozapine, risperidone, quetiapine.
- Stimulants: (e.g., amphetamines)
- ACE inhibitors and ARBs: Lisinopril, losartan, valsartan.
Ensure you are well hydrated, wearing spf and cool, loose clothing, and avoid strenuous activities during periods of intense heat.
