LOOK OUT FOR THE PACK! 🐾🎗️

Our "walkies" hero Joanne is taking on the Stand Up To Cancer 60-mile April challenge! She isn't doing it alone, though—Summer and Briar are joining the squad to make sure every mile is accounted for.

Look out for the trio on their daily routes; the girls will be dressed in their SU2C gear and are always up for a friendly wave (and Joanne probably needs the encouragement!).

Every penny counts towards standing up to cancer. If you have a spare couple of pounds to sponsor their journey, it would mean the world:

Funeral transport in England has evolved significantly over the centuries. 🐴🤵🏻👩🏽‍✈️👨🏼‍✈️👩🏼‍💼

In earlier times, loved ones were often carried to the burial on foot or transported in simple hand-drawn biers by family and community members. ❤️

By the 18th and 19th centuries, horse-drawn hearses became a common sight, especially during the Victorian era when elaborate black carriages, plumed horses, and formal mourning processions symbolised both respect and social status.

With the rise of motor vehicles in the early 20th century, motorised hearses gradually replaced horse-drawn carriages, making funeral transport more practical while still maintaining ceremony and dignity.

Today, modern hearses—often followed by limousines for family are standard, though traditional horse-drawn carriages are still sometimes chosen for a symbolic or historic tribute. From hand-carried biers to elegant motor hearses, funeral transport in England reflects both changing technology and enduring traditions of honouring your loved one.
