We just wanted to say a massive well done to our friends over at John G Hogg Funeral Directors, who completed the Boxing Day Dip . 🥶🥶
And a HUGE WELL DONE to Oskar, our funeral director Rhonda's son💙🎉 . Some amazing charities have been supported by the team at John Hogg's and Oskar .

Boxing Day Dip such a memorable and meaningful event.

To our brave dippers-thank you for turning up, stepping in, and giving it your all. Your enthusiasm, courage, and good humour were incredible, and you truly embodied the Mackem spirit.

To the charities we supported-thank you for the vital work you do every day. We are proud to support you, and grateful for the difference you make to so many lives. None of this would feel as special without such important causes at its heart.

To the public, families, friends, and supporters who came along to cheer, donate, help organise, photograph or simply show encouragement-thank you. Your generosity, kindness and community spirit created such a positive atmosphere.

Events like this remind us what can be achieved when people come together with warmth, purpose and a bit of bravery (even in the freezing sea!). We are so grateful to every single person involved.
From the generous business owners who sponsored a t-shirt, family and friends putting their camera skills to the test. Special thanks to two incredibly thoughtful young girls, Ellie-May and Harriett, for handing out foil blankets to everyone emerging from the icy sea. Not forgetting Oskar, 12 years old who not only joined us in the icy sea but kept our spirits up and even made us agree to do it all again next year.........🥶

Once again, thank you for making the Boxing Day Dip a success-we couldn't have done it without you. We will keep you updated on the final amount raised, we are still collecting 💙

As 2025 draws to a close Gillian, myself and all the team wish you a very peaceful New Year’s Eve and our thoughts remain with you all as we look forward to 2026. We wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Our offices are now closed and will remain closed until Friday 2nd January however our out of hours on call service is in operation where our dedicated team is available 24 hours a day .
