Sunshine and light provides weekly yoga classes and sound baths at Houghton on the Hill Village Hall, Leicestershire, LE7 9GE, Tilton on the hill village hall and in Oakham. All our yoga classes involve postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to promote a relaxed mind and body. Postures (asanas) are flowing, aiding to stretch out the body, improve strength and flexibility, as well as general fitness and health. We offer gentler and stronger options for all abilities as an intrinsic part of our classes. Beginners are very welcome. We also facilitate Sound baths, providing an immersion into the therapeutic world of sound. Come along to a friendly, local class or contact me if you would like more information. Thanks to all that came to the retreat day on Saturday! We set intentions for the year, got crafty, enjoyed some gentle yoga and a mindful walk. Then we shared lunch together, slowed down with Somatics and Breathwork and ended the day with yoga nidra and a sound bath! Thanks to for the lovely feedback! I didn’t get a chance to take many pictures but here are a few. Looking forward to the next retreat on the 2nd May!

A little thought following our Winter Solstice class this week. Our candle gazing (Tratak) really embodies the essence of the Solstice, seeing the light in the darkness and holding that light in our gaze. Enjoying the subsequent darkness and then revelling in the return of the light once more. Solstice blessings for tomorrow!

Our story

Sunshine and light provides weekly yoga classes at Houghton on the Hill Village Hall, Leicestershire, LE7 9GE All our classes involve relaxation, breathing exercises, meditation and visualisation to promote a relaxed mind and body. Postures (asanas) are flowing, aiding to stretch out the body, improve strength and flexibility, as well as general fitness and health. Yoga is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, including those who may suffer from an injury or illness. We offer adaptations for all abilities and issues as an intrinsic part of my classes. Book in and come along to a friendly, local class or contact me if you would like more information. Drop in classes are available at any time, as long as you check with me that there is space in the class you wish to attend prior to arrival. This is to avoid disappointment, as class numbers are limited.
