At Norwood Nursing Home - Advinia Healthcare, we were delighted to give resident Philip Stockwell – a former teacher, violinist, and Paisley choir member – an unforgettable experience through our Day to Remember framework.

Philip, his wife Kate, and their closest friends were whisked off to Glasgow’s City Halls to enjoy the West of Scotland Schools Symphony Orchestra. What made the day truly special was Philip being invited on stage to meet the young musicians, view the instruments up close, and capture a moment he’ll cherish forever.

Two staff members from Bishops Cleeve Care Home - Advinia Health Care took a courageous leap from 13,000 feet at Hinton Airfield — all to raise funds for residents at the care home.

With nerves of steel, hearts full of purpose, and freefall speeds of 120mph, Tanya & Natalie soared through the skies and landed safely to the cheers of supporters. More than just an adrenaline rush, their skydive was a powerful act of dedication to enhancing resident wellbeing through events, therapies, and memory-boosting activities.

We welcomed our local community, residents’ families, and special guest Mayor of Sandwell, Cllr Steve Melia, who helped us mark the occasion by officially reopening our newly refurbished Bloomfield Unit.

A huge thank you to our incredible property team – Darren, Paddy, and Tony – for bringing this transformation to life, and to our wonderful staff and residents for making the day so warm and welcoming. This refurbishment is just the first step in our exciting improvement plans, creating brighter, more comfortable spaces for everyone who calls Ryland View home.

This move is not only enhancing our efficiency and food safety practices—it’s also helping us reduce paper use and further our sustainability goals.

National Ice Cream Day at our Care Homes was a sweet success!

Residents and staff had a blast getting creative with their own cones and sundaes – from rainbow sprinkles to gooey chocolate sauce, no topping was off limits!

To make the day extra special, we even had a surprise visit from an ice cream van at Netherton Green Nursing Home - Advinia Health Care, bringing smiles, scoops, and sunshine to everyone’s afternoon.
