🍕Pizza pitta 🍕
It’s National pizza day on Friday. Why not try out a pitta pizza 😋
🤩Ingredients 🤩
⭐️1 shallot (or a couple of spring onions), finely chopped
⭐️1 small red or yellow pepper, deseeded and roughly chopped
⭐️½ tsp dried herbs
⭐️4 cherry tomatoes, chopped
⭐️60g wholemeal pitta bread
⭐️70g reduced-fat mozzarella, cut into chunks (or 40g reduced-fat Cheddar, grated)
⭐️Fresh oregano, leaves picked, to serve
🤩Method 🤩
⭐️Spray a non-stick frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and put it over a medium heat. Add the shallot (or spring onions), pepper and herbs and cook for about 5 minutes or until starting to soften. Add the tomatoes and cook for a few more minutes.
⭐️Halve the pitta, scatter over the cheese and lightly toast. Top with the cooked veg and sprinkle with fresh oregano to serve.
