I love that as a massage therapist I’m contributing to my clients wellbeing. One of the things that helps with my own physical and emotional wellbeing is my allotment.

💚 As it’s national allotment week with the theme of Allotments and wellbeing I thought I’d share a few of my favourite pics. Mainly of bees 🐝

💚 If you’re lucky enough to have some outside space to garden, watch nature and want to keep your back happy see my blog https://www.massage-brighton.com/pain-free-gardening/

I’m now back to having full availability for massage after a few trips around the country acknowledging significant family anniversary’s and giving a helping hand to a few of the elder ones.

The most recent to Cornwall, definitely a little rainy after a long hot drive. Costal walks, sea swimming and sea view saunas at the fabulous (their pic as I forgot to take one) set us up for our days. The lovely lived up to its name also with a fantastic coast view.

What a fabulous truly an honour to massage in the Such beautiful energy and creativity. Where better than the water garden for me to take a break 💙

Thank you to all the lovely people I massaged over the weekend and so overblown by people that come find me each year, sending family and friends in my direction.

As I get older I’d been thinking this may be my last time but I’m sure I’ll be back. I’ve shared enough pics of my lovely pop up massage space so here’s just a few other snaps.

What I love about my job is the friendships you make. I’ve had a fantastic long weekend visiting a very good friend in Berlin met while working together at a UK festival.

✨Local knowledge of a city is always a bonus. Exhibitions, eating, drinking and oodles of green spaces, parks to lakes, rude not to dip.

✨It reminded me that I’ve loved the flexibility and opportunities of working on retreats and at festivals, it’s added variety and very special experiences.

✨Now I stay a little more local, you’ll find me at WellBN on Western rd and my lovely treatment room near 7 dials. Back at work tomorrow and have availability on Friday, booking link in Bio❤️🙏🏻

Massage and stress. April is stress awareness month, an opportunity for you to discover effective ways to manage stress, crucial as it has a big impact on our physical and mental health.

✨Massage can be one of the ways you can manage how you feel, It activates our parasympathetic nervous system which helps with rest, relaxation and recovery helping to release tension in the body.

✨Endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers are released as well as mood elevators that contribute to a sense of well-being, counteracting the effects of stress on the nervous system.

✨Cortisol, the stress hormone is reduced and serotonin, oxytocin and dopamine associated with wellbeing, positivity, relaxation and stress reduction are increased.

✨All the treatments I offer promote a state of deep relaxation and help calm your nerves,.plus the benefits of having space for yourself is incredibly therapeutic.

✨I’ve written a couple of blogs on the subject including other tips to help you manage, see www.massage-brighton.com to find out more. Great resources are also on www.stress.org.uk (last pic)

Thailand 🇹🇭 I’ve been lucky enough to have visited a few times, studying Thai massage and sometimes during Thai new year 13th -15th April. Happy Sonkran

I’ve had totally different experiences, one year during a Vipassana meditation at the Wat Rampoeng temple near Chiang mai I had the honour of witnessing Monks respectfully pouring scented water on images of the Buddha to represent renewal. Another couple of times taking part in Thailand’s craziest water drenching event. Around the moat in Chiang Mai anyone? I missed it so much that I celebrated at Wat Buddhapadipa in Wimbledon, a beautiful Temple.

In celebration I’m offering a 10% saving on Thai massages for the rest of April. Use code THAI10 at checkout when booking at www.massage-brighton.com No water throwing involved

Included in the pics my teacher the late Asokananda, it was such an honour to get to study with him, thank you to all my other teachers too 🙏🏻❤️

🏃‍♂️☀️Good luck Brighton Marathon and 10km runners ☀️🏃‍♂️

My sister is the runner in our family and pictured here recently running the 5km Amarillo coast run in Tenerife. Declaring my niece ran like her Auntie Jane wasn’t a compliment😂

Therefore I’m totally in awe of all you amazing participants. All your strength, courage and dedication and so much training time 🎖️

If those post running muscles need a little soothing I have a little availability at the end of this week and if you’re running for charity a % of the price will be donated. 🔗 in bio or DM.

Happy running 🤩

A post with absolutely nothing to do with massage other than I took the day of work to venture into the big city for my Birthday day. Revisiting the 80’s with 2 great exhibitions Outlaws at the textile museum (closes Sunday so be quick) and a walk along the Southbank to Leigh Bowery exhibition and Mire Lee in the Turbine hall at the Tate. The time travel didn’t work on my age tho 😂.

Excitingly for early March we were able to eat outside and it would been rude not to have pre travel home cocktails at the Shard 🍸❤️ Big thanks to .smudge1977

22 years ago I arrived in Brighton, it was snowing and I was full of enthusiasm ready to launch myself into my new career as a massage therapist.

I discovered Brighton has probably more massage therapists per sq m than anywhere and a lot of hard work, perseverance and belief was needed. I’ve met many fantastic and supportive people and I’m still here. A big 🥂 and 👏 to all my Brighton fellow therapist we deserve it.

I have great memories and have taken way too many west pier sunset pics 😂 see also what the pier looked like then.
