Today at AJ & Friends has been a beautiful one ☝️
Smiles, calm moments, and a few well-earned snoozes 😴

For us, it always comes back to what truly matters person-centred relationships that are meaningful to each individual. Not just care, but connection. Not just support, but understanding.

Behind the scenes, we are working with intention and purpose to build services that meet the needs of those who too often slip through life’s gaps. That means developing our respite offer, expanding therapeutic support including talking therapy, and introducing rebound therapy alongside strengthened positive behaviour support.

If you or your family are looking for a place where your voice is heard, your needs are understood, and your journey is respected you are welcome to come and visit us.

We leave nobody behind.
And when a voice cannot be heard, we will always step forward and speak with clarity, integrity, and purpose. Just look at these smiles 🧡

Out and about in Birkenhead today and would like to meet the team, have a Friday giggle and pick up a bargain or two, and even a nice tub of free sausage casarole mmmmmmm

We have also just got some fresh meat in from the butchers 😍

Today, we shared in the celebration of Emily’s life. Emily gained her wings and passed peacefully.

Emily was loved by so many and was a cherished part of the AJ & Friends family for a long time. Our Hoylake hub will not be the same without her. She loved penguins, trips to the zoo, and doing a high five. She would always ask your name, and she was the life and soul of every room she entered, lighting it up with her warmth, laughter, and beautiful spirit.

Here, her memory will live on, and we will honour her legacy in the way we continue to love, care, and hold space for others, just as she taught us to do.

We will remember her. She will always be here with us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Emily’s family, who are understandably heartbroken. We hold them with deep gratitude, respect, and grace as they mourn their precious girl.

We love you Em 🧡

| Meet 3 year old Nova. After a tough few days in hospital with her blood sugars dropping too low, this little superstar is heading home in time to spend Christmas Day with her family! 🎄

Mum Nicola said “Whilst Nova was here she loved meeting the LFC women’s squad AND she won a star award for helping the play team tidy the play room for all the other children. The staff have been amazing with her.” 💙

Nova is now counting down the minutes until Father Christmas arrives and has asked for a basketball hoop and a piano! Have a magical Christmas Nova ✨
