Pat took over the Hydration Station today and showed us all how it’s done. Using the blender like a total pro, Pat whipped up some absolutely fabulous fruit smoothies that were the talk of Buddleia House!

We’ve had a fantastic day celebrating Red Nose Day here at Buddleia House.

We've all been wearing our Red Noses had plenty of laughter, it’s been all about coming together and having fun as one big family.

It’s moments like these that remind us how special our community is.

Seeing our residents and team sharing a giggle for a great cause truly warms the heart.

Nutrition and Hydration week continues. We had a blast at our Hydration Station today, where everyone got creative mixing up fresh fruit smoothies.

From tropical blends to classic berry boosts, it was the perfect way to beat the heat and fuel up with something healthy.

There’s nothing like a cold, nutrient-packed treat to keep the energy high and the vibes even higher. 🥤✨

We all love a good party at Buddleia House: Care Home.

Out came the best china, the steaming pots of tea, and a delicious spread of treats thanks to our Kitchen staff.. The lounge was filled with the sound of clinking cups and wonderful conversation as residents and staff took a break to enjoy each other's company.

It’s these little "just because" moments that make life at Buddleia House so special. After all, there’s never a wrong time for tea and cake!

🍔 Step back in time at Buddleia House! 🍦🥤

To celebrate Nutrition & Hydration Week, we’ve transformed our Cafe into Sam’s American Diner! We believe staying hydrated and nourished should always be fun, and what’s more fun than a classic 1950s diner experience?

The star of the show was our very own Milkshake Trolley, which served up delicious, creamy treats to our residents. From classic vanilla to strawberry delights, these shakes are a fantastic (and tasty!) way to boost calorie intake and keep everyone hydrated.

There’s been plenty of toe-tapping to retro tunes and big smiles all around. It’s amazing how a little bit of nostalgia and a great milkshake can brighten the day!

📖 Tea & Tales at Buddleia House ☕🌸

There’s nothing quite like the combination of a good book and a warm pot of tea! Our book club members had a lovely afternoon gathering together to dive into our latest read, "Springtime."

It was the perfect way to welcome the new season—sharing our favorite chapters, enjoying plenty of laughs, and, of course, keeping the teacups full. These moments make our community feel like home.

It was a bitter sweet day at Buddleia House: Care Home yesterday. We said a fond farewell to our Companion Chelsea.

Why we are sad to see her go, we are incredibly proud of her as she begins her new job as a Social Worker.

Chelsea has been such a valued member of our team and her kindness and dedication have made such a lasting impact on our residents lifes.

We know she will be an amazing asset to her new team and will continue to make a difference to peoples lives. Thank you for everything Chelsea - you will be greatly missed.

Please join us in wishing her the very best of luck in her new Career.

We had such a Wonderful time at Buddleia House: Care Home on Mothers Day.

The lounge was filled with music and smiles as we turned up the volume to Elvis Presleys 'It's now or never'

It wasn't long before Terry and his lovely wife Maureen were up dancing along. Theres something truely magical about how a great song can bring back memories of times gone by.

Moments like these remind us that its always the right time to enjoy the music and share a dance together.

We’ve had a fantastic time celebrating Nutrition & Hydration Week, which runs from 16th–22nd March 2026 and aims to promote the importance of good nutrition and hydration for wellbeing.

Here at Buddleia House, we’ve been making the most of it:

🎂 Baking delicious cakes together
🍀 Enjoying Baby Guinness treats for St Patrick’s Day
🍔 A fun trip to Sam’s Fabulous American Diner for some amazing food and lots of laughs!

It’s been a wonderful week so far filled with good company, tasty treats, and plenty of reasons to smile. 💛

Here’s to staying nourished, hydrated, and connected!

Our Story

At Buddleia House, we pride ourselves on delivering a level of care that focuses directly on your loved one. We focus on what an individual needs in order to return a sense of independence back into their life, keeping residents at the heart. Buddleia House has been named by our residents at Hazelgrove Care Home (also based in Hucknall), inspired by the Buddleia plant’s butterfly appeal.

We’ve applied 30 years of experience coupled with best practice and innovative design to create a beautiful and engaging environment, where people can live a community life with purpose and meaning.

Buddleia House is so much more than your typical care home. Endeavouring to cater to all the senses that just can’t be understood until you walk through the doors of our home.

We’re proud of what we have created here. Our furnishings are modern, yet we haven’t lost the feeling of home. Our rooms are spaced out, without losing the feeling of community. Our gardens are safe, without losing the feeling of fun. This is evident throughout the home. Your loved one won’t be forced to do anything they don’t desire, instead they’d be encouraged to live a life filled with purpose!
