EXPLORING THE COSMOS AT SHERWOOD OBSERVATORY! 🚀🌌
We had the most incredible time earlier this week visiting the Science Discovery Centre and Planetarium at Sherwood Observatory! 🛰️
Sitting back in the 360-degree immersive dome was like being transported straight into deep space.
The visuals were breathtaking, who knew finding the constellations could be so much fun? 🌟
Thank you Sam for taking us. It was so in keeping with our Space theme for January.

We had an amazing day yesterday starting out with a lovely walk together around Hucknall.
Our Arts and Crafts session involved sensory painting with zip bags which was great fun.
In keeping with our Space theme we had fun painting the galaxy with balloons which was a wonderful hands-on experience. The finished results were amazing.
The day continued with a space-themed cocktails trolley and enjoying our Space cakes a perfect treat.
What a fun day we had a fun mix of art, exploration, and celebration!

Pat did an amazing job working in the kitchen this week shes been keeping busy and helping to wash the dishes
Washing dishes is a meaningful and therapeutic activity for people living with dementia. It provides sensory stimulation, a sense of purpose, and can help maintain motor skills and daily routines.

Rise.Life Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire joined us for a fabulous session.
Using balls we all joined in the games which help with our dexterity and social interactions.

Residents can enjoy and engage in daily living, whatever their ability or condition. Our community has an indoor garden area, a pub, library area, a pantry, sweet shop, creative art and music areas, and lots of other engaging facilities both indoors and outdoors from raised garden beds to a beer garden.
