Montessori Book Club Day 📚📚

We started our morning wrapped in coziness and warmth, then had a little trip to the shops, where we choose our favourite cakes to enjoy with a cuppa. Shortly after we gathered for our Montessori Book Club, where we read a story we were excited about titled “ Pop to the shops. A nation of shopkeepers.”

It was a morning full of simple pleasures, sweet cakes, warm drinks, good book and even better company.

The residents meeting held today proved to be a productive and welcoming occasion ✨. We took the time to carefully listen to their viewpoints, address their concerns and explore ideas for future events, promoting a spirit of unity and shared vision☺️. The meeting was complemented by an enjoyable selection of tea and appetising snacks🧀🍰🥧, enhancing the sense of togetherness and ease of communication🤗✨.

As busy bees 🐝 , our residents were dedicated themselves in assisting with domestic chores 🧹. They busied themselves with tasks like loading the washing , folding the clothes, cleaning, hoovering, damp dusting and mopping- tacking each job with enthusiasm✨. Immersed in these activities, they derived considerable pleasure 🤩and evoked a trove of memories☺️, cultivating a deep seated sense of purpose in their daily lives🤗✨.

Jackie and Enid had a wonderful time in the town centre , visiting various shops , discovering new fashion finds in the clothing shops. Taking in the sights and sounds as they walked around . They rounded off their trip at the most wonderful Mrs C’s Vintage Tea Room, where we we’re made so very welcomed and enjoyed. A delightful treat of food and drinks.

Home is where the heart is!

And the kitchen is indeed the soul of the home.
Our residents were overjoyed to participate in various kitchen tasks, including washing pots, chopping vegetables and peeling vegetables .
This hands-on involvement not only brought them closer to the heart of the home but also fostered a sense of community and friendship. It’s wonderful to see our residents embracing the spirit of togetherness and contributing to the warmth and vitality of our home.

World Letter Day🌏 📝💌

Writing a letter is a thoughtful gesture that allows us express our thoughts, memories and feelings in a heartfelt way. It also gives us the opportunity to practice, improve and enjoy the art of penmanship.

Our residents took part in “National Write A Letter Day” and they enjoyed it. It was fun to see the smiles as the put pen to paper and expressed themselves in such a timeless tradition.
