Self care is a personal journey, find what works best for you ✨️

Ask for help:- 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽 If you are struggling with anything, do not hesitate to reach out to university wellbeing services by emailing studentwellbeing@hud.ac.uk.

Setting boundaries:- 🙅🏻‍♂️ If you are feeling overwehlmed with academics, social and work commitments, a good idea is to start setting some boundaries. Say NO to things that aren't important to you and focus on working towards your goals.

Physical activity:- 🏃‍♂️ It has been found to be great for mental health and wellbeing. Going for walks and Yoga is a good place to start. Check out Active Wellbeing timetable at Active Hud for free wellbeing classes.

Nature:- 🌱 Spend time outside whether its going for a hike or simply sitting in your local park. Swap your library desk for a park table once or twice a week. Visit local Greenhead Park or Beaumont Park for a change of scenery.

Friends & Family:- 🫂 We are social creatures. Reach out to old friends or make new friends. A good conversation with someone you love can make a difference.

Meditation:- 🧘‍♀️ Incorporating 5 minutes of meditation or deep breathing in your day can reduce stress, increase focus and productivity and improve mindfulness. Try it out!

Sleep:- 😴 Sometimes its just about getting enough sleep to rejuvenate your mind and body. If you are struggling with your sleeping habbits, try setting a bedtime routine. Start with 5 minutes meditation before bedtime to relax yourself or reading a book until you feel tired enough to sleep.

This is a fantastic opportunity open to all years!
The Empowering Student Leadership in Healthcare is a student led conference which is going to be held on 24th September in London.
You are asked to submit an idea for a workshop on leadership skills for other undergraduates to undertake.

See the website for more information and an email has been sent all pharmacy students University emails, so please refer to that for more information as well.

Finally, the University will fund 2 train tickets to London if your workshop is selected!
