April is Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Awareness Month – an opportunity for charities and the young people we support to come together and raise awareness of the unique challenges facing teenagers and young adults with cancer.

Cancer is different in teenagers and young adults, from the types of cancer they get to the barriers to accessing appropriate care and the long-term impacts on their lives, so it’s important to take a specialised and tailored approach to improving cancer diagnosis, treatment, care and support.

Throughout April, we’ll be sharing the stories of teenagers and young adults who have been affected by cancer, as well as signposting to where you can find information about teenage and young adult cancers and the support available, and updating on our work to tackle the challenges that young patients are facing.
