Following an increase in Meningitis B vaccination queries, we are currently advising the below.

We cannot offer Meningitis B vaccination outside of the NHS programme, this can only be accessed privately.

The Men B was introduced into the childhood vaccination programme in 2015 where by the course is given to those aged 8 weeks to 16 weeks old. The only vaccination that is available for those above this age, is the Meningitis ACWY.

This can be accessed privately however we are unsure of current stock levels.

Cases of invasive meningococcal disease have been confirmed in Kent. Sadly, 2 people are known to have died. It's important to know the signs of symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia. Get more info from NHS.

Over the past few weeks, measles has been on the news again following outbreaks in parts of the country.

It is an unpleasant illness and can sometimes cause very serious complications, we are therefore urging parents and carers to check their child’s vaccination status and ensure they are fully protected against measles by having the MMRV vaccination.
