Equality Forums provides a friendly, safe space to discuss equality matters & build confidence to empower change, delivered through our Unity initiatives, courtesy of Community Impact UK (https://community-impact.org.uk) https://equalityforums.org

Our basis is enshrined in the Equality Act and other provisions for the protection of rights and protected characteristics of the individual, e.g, disability, sex, age, race, religion or belief, etc. As well as addressing discrimination, harassment and victimisation, we also explore other topics identified as needing improvement such as: Employment/Enterprise, Education, Justice, Living Standards, & Health.

Our Story

Equality Forums is an initiative project developed by Community Impact UK, a social enterprise based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Our community sessions aim to raise awareness of Equality Matters, support diversity and encourage inclusion. Our objectives will be delivered through online and on-site forums, like our #WomenTogether and #ROTA projects.

We invite community members, organisations, local businesses, etc., to join us for topical discussions in a friendly and safe environment. We will mainly focus on topics around five key areas identified as needing improvement, particularly in: Employment, Education, Human Rights & Justice (including civil and criminal justice system), Living Standards, Health & Care.
