💔 Today is National Grief Awareness Day ❤️‍🩹

Grief is a journey that touches every heart at some point in life. It has no timetable, no “right” way, and no simple path forward.

Today, on National Grief Awareness Day, we pause to honor those who are have suffered loss and to remind our community that if you are grieving; you don't have to carry that weight alone. Lean on friends, family, or others who understand what you're going through.

If someone you love is grieving, may today be a gentle reminder to reach out, offer kindness, and simply be present 🕊

🔍 Yesterday we welcomed the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) for our annual inspection, and we’re proud to share that we passed with flying colours again 🥰.

These inspections are an important way of ensuring we continue to meet the highest standards of care, professionalism, and service for the families who place their trust in us.

This means that in last 12 months, our funeral home has not only been inspected by the NAFD but by Kirklees Council too; both of which were very happy with all of our facilities and the way we operate.

We're delighted with the outcome 🩶.

On this day, 80 years ago, Victory over Japan (VJ) Day marked the official end of World War ll. It was a day of relief, reflection, and remembrance - a moment when peace returned after years sacrifice and loss.

We take this moment to honor the brave men and women who served our nation during World War II, especially those who gave their lives and never returned home. Their courage and dedication helped shape the freedoms we cherish today.

Being a very small (some would say 1 man band) company, I may not meet you at the door in a suit and tie everytime you come to see us but I have and always will pull out all the stops I can, like I have tonight staying open until this time so family members can visit with their relative who’s funeral is tomorrow. Now it’s tea time 😋
