We were absolutely delighted to welcome Debbie, Graham & their beautiful African Grey, 31 year old parrot, Chocko🩶. We had a wonderful time chatting with Graham & getting to know about Chocko. Chocko decided he'd like to help himself to a snack while we chatted. Thank you for bringing him along we had a fabulous morning. We can't wait to see you again soon!🥰

Henry & Enid were our cheif taste testers today after a busy morning of making delicious stuffed potato skins for everyone for tea as part of 🥔and 🥓. We mixed together bacon, onion and cheese and reading filled our potatoes. "Well it's lovely" said Enid laughing 🤣

We were thrilled to welcome Chris and his wife Linda to our home recently to help us celebrate the 80th anniversary of . Chis & Linda had lots of stories for us and they brought along lots of their WWII memorabilia and items linked to the war with Japan for us to look through. Christine was very taken by the Medic's hat and arm band. She said she thought that her dad served as a Medic but it wasn't something he spoke a lot about.

We we're happy to accept an invitation from Nurtured at Skelmanthorpe recently when they asked if we would like to join them in an afternoon tea party. We celebrated together with homemade cake, scones and croissants. 🫖🍰 We also spent time doing some colouring and reading stories together. Christine said she had had the best time with the children they are all so lovely! We look forward to seeing you again very soon!🩷

We had a puuuurfect day celebrating recently. We completed puzzles, word searches and artwork together and then we tried our hand at some origami. Making cat shapes by folding paper. Great for learning new skills and keeping our fingers nimble.🐱Liz broke out in song as she made her origami cat with a verse of What's new p***y cat by her absolute favourite Sir Tom Jones.🎶

Ee by gum, it's Yorkshire day! James was in fine voice he kicked off our Yorkshire day celebrations with a rendition of On Ilkley Moor bar tat. This got everyone singing and clapping along. Well done James the life and soul of the party. We continued with a Yorkshire phraises quiz & an old Yorkshire game of quoits, throwing horse shoe shaped rings (quoits) over a pin/hob, dating back to the 1300's. This was a great way to test our aim! 🩵🤍

Yet another fantastic trip out to the Young at hearts group at Denby Dale Club.🩷 We had a fabulous afternoon of live vocals from the very talented Damien, singing, dancing laughing & all our ladies must have been on a lucky streak that day as they all managed a win on the raffle too! Well done ladies! Thank you again to everyone at the club who makes these afternoons happen we love it! 🎶🎤
