'Hijama' in arabic is derived from 'hajm' which means 'sucking'. Cupping (hijama) is the process of applying cups to various points on the body by removing the air inside the cups to form a vacuum. Wet cupping (hijama) - This is the process of using a vacuum at different points on the body but with incisions in order to remove 'harmful' blood which lies just beneath the surface of the skin.

*Which field of medicine is noble?*
By Maulana Hakim Dr Latib

https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=881243194030170

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Imam Shafi'ee has described "Tibb" as the most noble study after the study of fiqh. Does this apply to the field of modern medicine?, which many regard as just the vehicle of the pharmaceutical cartel that is actually the leading cause of death in numerous countries?.
Or does it apply to the "Tibb" of the time of Imam Shafi'ee?, that which was more closely in accordance with Quran and Sunnah?
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Imam Shafi'ee (RA) is recorded to have praised the pursuit of the knowledge of "Tibb" and described it as the most noble field of study after that of halal and haraam (fiqh).
The statement of the Imam is as follows:
لا أعلم علما بعد الحلال والحرام، أنبل من الطب، إلا أن أهل الكتاب قد غلبونا عليه.
I do not know of any field of study, after the knowledge of halal and haraam, which is more noble than (the study of) "tibb", but alas (the matter is such that) the ahle-kitaab (Christians and Jews) have dominated us in this (Siyar A'lam An-Nubala)
The respected Imam also stated:
العلم علمان، علم فقه للأديان، وعلم طب للأبدان
(Real) knowledge is two: The knowledge of fiqh which is for the deeni requirements, and the knowledge of "tibb" which is for the bodily requirements

What is the tibb and the type of study that is referred to by Imam Shafi'ee (RA)?
Imam Shafi'ee lived during the era when medicine was practiced and studied with the intention to establish the root cause of illness and apply dietary and lifestyle changes and herbal medicinals as the first route of treatment. Only if these methods were not successful were more invasive procedures considered. While surgery was practiced it was not the first option as it is today.
The belief in Allah ﷻ and the overriding authority of the laws of Allah ﷻ significantly influenced the medical practices of his time, from the ethical considerations of treatment methods, to the exposure of the body being strictly limited to necessity, to the holistic care of patients etc, whereas today, modern medicine is completely secular and does not take guidance from shariat. In fact, the opposite is observed where doctors and hospital staff ignore the commands of Allah ﷻ, prescribe haraam substances, carelessly stop patients from fasting and other religious obligations, expose areas of the patient that are not necessary, and perform procedures and investigations very often only to get the maximum out of a patient's medical aid.
Besides this there are many glaring differences and flagrant violations of the laws of Allah ﷻ when it comes to the study and practice of modern medicine:

Human dissection:
Human dissection, which is haraam, was not a part of the learning of medicine in his time. I doubt the respected Imam would have called today's practice of dissection of male and female bodies in utter nakedness being done by a group of mixed male and female students as noble.
Nowadays there are those that have given fatwa of permissibility for the purposes of the benefit to humanity, but this is built on a weak foundation, since people are more disease ridden in modern times as compared to when human dissection was not performed. In that time they relied on the dissection of animals and then extrapolated the knowledge to the understanding of the human body and Alhamdulillah disease was treated very well.
The hadeeth of Nabi ﷺ shoud not be taken lightly to the effect: “Breaking the bone of the deceased is like breaking it when he was alive.” Narrated by Abu Dawood (2792).

Exposure of the satr:
Unnecessary nakedness and exposure of the satr is found throughout the modern medicine field, this is prevalent in the books filled with naked pictures of men and women which are necessary study material for both men and women and without any shame or guilt. The minimum which could have been done in order to comply with shariat is have males deal with males and females with females, but this is not even a concern or topic of discussion even amongst seemingly pious muslim doctors who will scorn at the very idea, while in the time of the great Imam, it was not practice for a women to treat a male, they would specialise in the treatment of women, acting as midwives, nurses and practitioners of herbal medicine. Female physicians and midwives primarily focused on gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatrics, fields where their services were most needed and socially acceptable.
Males also would not treat females without a mahram present and they would not unnecessarily expose parts of the body not required. The issue of unnecessary exposure is not being made up as some would think, a study examining unnecessary invasive procedures in the United States between 2008 and 2016 found that such procedures were often performed without medical necessity, leading to undue exposure and potential harm and it found that this was very often profit motivated and being done predominantly by male doctors who seem to be fulfilling their internal lust and desires in this way. The great Imam would not have called this practice noble.
By contrast the practice of medicine in his time and in keeping with the deen of Islam which is a deen of hayaa (modesty) was done with great care NOT to expose the satr and create an environment where women especially could be abused in this way.

Basis of Knowledge
Tibb in the time of the Imam and even in the time of Nabi ﷺ was not based on the atheistic scientific method. It was based on classical books written by pious scholars who had built up a lifetime of empirical knowledge on the benefits and uses of what Allah ﷻ has placed in the earth for the benefit of mankind, viz the medicinal substances located in the plants, minerals and animals of the world. According to some ulamaa the origin of this form of Tibb is from the ambiyaa itself which was trasmitted down and practiced by their followers just as we know that Nabi ﷺ encouraged the use of black seed, honey, senna leaves, hijama, qust, ajwa date seeds, recitation of Surah fatiha and other ayaat of Qur’an and many other treatment methods.
Modern medicine attempts to discredit such practices which are not confirmed with the atheistic sceintific method, but in reality the pharmaceutical cartels only seek to profit from this original knowledge by researching the very same substances and extracting "cures" from it and then patenting it in order to claim it as their own. Examples include:
Aspirin
Plant Source: Willow bark (Salix species)
Active Compound: Salicin
Details: Aspirin, or acetylsalicylic acid, is a widely used pain reliever and anti-inflammatory drug. The use of willow bark dates back to ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians and Greeks. The active compound salicin was isolated, leading to the development of aspirin in the late 19th century.
Quinine
Plant Source: Cinchona tree bark (Cinchona species)
Active Compound: Quinine
Details: Quinine is used to treat malaria. Indigenous people in South America used Cinchona bark to treat fevers. European colonists brought the knowledge back, and quinine was isolated in the early 19th century.
Morphine
Plant Source: O***m poppy (Papaver somniferum)
Active Compound: Morphine
Details: Morphine is a powerful analgesic used for severe pain management. The use of o***m poppy for pain relief dates back thousands of years. Morphine was first isolated in the early 19th century.
Digoxin
Plant Source: Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)
Active Compound: Digoxin
Details: Digoxin is used to treat heart conditions such as atrial fibrillation and heart failure. The medicinal use of foxglove was popularized in the 18th century by William Withering, who observed its effects on heart conditions.
Atropine
Plant Source: Deadly nightshade (Atropa belladonna)
Active Compound: Atropine
Details: Atropine is used to treat bradycardia (slow heart rate) and as an antidote for certain types of poisoning. It was derived from the deadly nightshade plant, which has a long history of use in "Tibb"
Paclitaxel (Taxol)
Plant Source: Pacific yew tree (Taxus brevifolia)
Active Compound: Paclitaxel
Details: Paclitaxel is used in chemotherapy for treating various cancers. It was first isolated from the bark of the Pacific yew tree in the 1960s.
Ephedrine
Plant Source: Ephedra (Ephedra sinica)
Active Compound: Ephedrine
Details: Ephedrine is used as a decongestant and bronchodilator. It has been used in "Tibb" for thousands of years.
Reserpine
Plant Source: Indian snakeroot (Rauwolfia serpentina)
Active Compound: Reserpine
Details: Reserpine is used to treat high blood pressure and psychotic disorders. The plant has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries.
Artemisinin
Plant Source: Sweet wormwood (Artemisia annua)
Active Compound: Artemisinin
Details: Artemisinin is an antimalarial drug. It was discovered by Chinese scientist Tu Youyou in the 1970s, drawing from ancient Chinese medical texts.
The difference though is that in the time of Imam Shafi these herbs, used in their original form did not have the associated side effects that the extracted pharmaceuticals have today. They had in them a balance of qualities or the practitioners knew how to add other medicinals to balance the treatment, just as Nabi ﷺ instructed to eat dates with cucumber so that the coolness of one balances the heat of the other. This is the type of knowledge that Imam Shafi'ee was referring to.
The atheist scientific method, just like the baatil theory of evolution is meant to destroy Imaan in Allah ﷻ , particularly the quality of Allah ﷻ being Shafee (The Healer) and to destroy reverence for the true Ilm, the knowledge that has come to us via the ambiyaa (AS).

Haraam ingredients
This type of education and brainwashing has resulted in a condition in those who have been put through the modern medical schools where the trust and yaqeen and importance of the words of Allah ﷻ and His Rasul ﷺ and the Sahaba Kiraam (RA) is of secondary importance or only taken superficially and seperated from practice like the secular system keeps religion away from so called "interference" in worldly matters. For example:

قال ابن مسعود في شأن المسكر: إنَّ اللهَ لم يجعلْ شفاءَكم فيما حَرَّم عليكم
Ibn Masood (RA) relates in the matter of intoxicants: Most assuredly Allah ﷻ has not placed a cure for you in those things which are haraam upon you
In spite of this you see modern medicine using countless haraam ingredients in medicines and the "muslim" doctors are the ones prescribing such medicines and this is why even haraam ingredients such as pig products in vaccines and pig valves etc can be used without any conscience, and even encouraged by Muslim doctors. The system has brainwashed them just as it does students who are exposed to the atheistic evolution theory attack from Shaytaan.
How many a muslim doctor will prescribe the recitation of Surah Fatiha? How many will advise to give sadaqa? How many will advise to exert in Duaa? Yes, there are a few, and most of them only do so as a last resort, but the vast majority regard the hadeeth of Nabi ﷺ in this regard to be mere fairytales. This is the result of going through the modern medical education system, it corrupts and is not noble at all.
Many incidents of cure are related in the books of taareekh and hadeeth where a person was cured through duaa and sadaqah.

Many doctors even totally reject the effect of sihr and nazr, which are confirmed by the Quran and the ahadeeth to be a real factor in maladies affecting the ummah. Yes, amongst the public there is an over-attribution of illness to these two real causative factors but they are nevertheless real and even the Prophet ﷺ himself was affected in this way and taught us how to be relieved from its effect through the recitation of specific verses of Quran, yet it is not taught in the atheist medical school curriculum and a doctor trained in one will mock or jest at the idea, risking his/her imaan in the process. How could Imam Shafi'ee (RA) ever regard such a brainwashing as "noble"?
Modern universities
The crux of the matter is that the educational institutions where modern medicine is taught, are the exact place where this atheistic brainwashing takes place. It is the den of the devils, the shayateen, whose only aim is to destroy Islam by destroying the morality of our girls and boys who attend these places which have been engineered to do exactly what shaytaan did to Adam (AS) and Hawa. As Allah ﷻ describes clearly in this verse:
O children of Adam! Do not let Satan deceive you as he tempted your parents out of Paradise and caused their cover to be removed in order to expose their nakedness. Surely he and his soldiers watch you from where you cannot see them. We have made the devils allies of those who disbelieve. (A'raaf: 27)
Much more can be said about the modern field of medicine, such as the corrupt medical insurance system, the hiding of real cures, the promotion of vaccines from an early age that are linked with autism and other illnesses, the use of the vaccine program for the depopulation and genocide agenda (which is a documented fact admitted to) etc. but this article will become too lengthy if i were to delve into each of these in detail.
Sufficed to say that this is not the field of medicine that Imam Shafi'ee was referring to, the Imam was referring to "Tibb", the medicine that is guided by Quran and Sunnah, based on ancient texts, brimming with hayaa, where the honour of a woman is preserved and the human body respected, which can definitely be combined with modern medical procedures and tests that do not violate the shariat in either its method of study or practice.
We should be careful and wary of those who promote such sayings of the Imam, and then advocate modern medicine as the intent and thereby even encourage our youth and especially girls to go to such places of filth where they are morally destroyed.
The correct approach is to revive the true "Tibb" that the great Imam of Fiqh and upholder of the shariat was referring to. May Allah ﷻ grant us the vision to see this matter clearly.

Memorize, act upon, and share these Ahadīth regarding the deviants (Badmazhab/Bidʿatī). Save yourself and others from losing your Imān and sin. It has been clearly mentioned that it is completely impermissible to sit in the company of deviants, honor them, and intermingle with them.

Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah narrates that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ stated:

If they [heretics] fall ill, do not visit them, and if they die, do not join their funeral, and if you pass them, do not greet them, and do not sit with them and do not drink with them and do not eat with them and do not marry them and do not perform [Janāzah] Ṣalāh upon them and do not perform Ṣalāh with them.

Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim; Abū Dawūd from Sayyidunā Ibn ʿUmar; Ibn Mājah from Sayyidunā Jābir; ʿAqīl and Ibn Ḥibbān from Sayyidunā Anas

In another Ḥadīth, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ has stated:

Stay away from them and keep them away from yourselves, lest they misguide you, lest they throw you in fitnah (dissension).

Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim.

Sayyidunā Anas narrates that the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

When you see a heretic, then scowl in his face, for Allāh holds every heretic an enemy.

Ibn ʿAsākir.

Sayyidunā Hudhayfah narrates that the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم
said:

Allāh does not accept the fast of a heretic, neither Ṣalāh, nor Zakāh, nor Ḥajj, nor ʿUmrah, nor Jihād, nor Nafl nor Farḍ. He comes out Islām like a hair comes out of dough.

Ibn Mājah.

Sayyidunā Abū Umāmah narrates that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ stated:

Heretics are the dogs of the dwellers of Hell.

Al-Dār Quṭnī.

Sayyidunā Ibrāhīm ibn Maysarah narrates that the Messenger
of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

He who honors a heretic has indeed helped in the destruction of Islām.

Mishkāt al-Maṣabīḥ.

How will honoring a heretic be destroying Islām?

Answering this question, Shaykh ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq Muḥaddith al-
Dihlawī al-Bukhārī writes:

Honouring a heretic is belittling and disparaging the Sunnah. And disparaging the Sunnah takes one to demolishing the foundation of Islām.

Ashiʿat al-Lamʿāt: vol. 1 pg. 147.

Also, keep in mind that according to some scholars it is harām to keep relations and intermingle with those Sunnīs who intermingle and keep relations with deviants as they are themselves indulging in fisq and to make such person Imām is impermissible and it is prohibited and a sin to pray behind him, and such prayer is Wājib to repeat.

A Revival of Prophetic Medicines
Forgotten Sunnah.

Therapeutic HealthCare Services Hijamah/Cupping. Also known as Vacuum Therapy, Integrative Microcirculation Therapy, and Myofascial Wet Cupping, this innovative technique tackles issues with the tissues that surrounds your muscles and bones. Cupping itself is an ancient form of therapeutic treatment that has been in use since around 5000 B. C., starting in Greece and China & in mow days allover the world . In the past, bamboo cups and fire were used to create a suction effect on tissue to draw out impurities, toxins, and pain. It has now evolved to using hand pumps and acrylic pumps to break up old injuries that scar down in the myofascial tissue layer.

Hijamah/Cupping therapy is known to have many benefits, including:

Reduction of painIncreased flexibility and range of motionDecreased scars and adhesions in tissuesRelief of inflammationStretching of connective tissue & musclesCalming the nervous systemMoving of stagnation and draining of congested fluidsBringing fresh blood and lymph to areas that need healingFever reduction and faster recovery from a cold or flu etc

Hijamah/Cupping therapy is an ideal treatment option for athletes and those living with chronic pain, and is especially great for back, neck, shoulder, elbow, and other musculoskeletal conditions. In fact, the use of suction is commonplace throughout the history of the Olympic Games & qll kind of sports for maintenance, pre and post event injuries, detoxification, and recovery. Cumulative Cupping treatments increase muscle endurance, circulation, lung capacity, lymphatic drainage, and health maintenance during strenuous activities. Many professional athletes incorporate it into their training to enhance their overall performance, agility, and ability to recover from their sports. Some studies indicate that cupping, when combined with acupuncture, may reduce fibromyalgia symptoms more effectively than conventional medications!

CUPPING ENHANCES SELF-HEALING

After age forty, 40-60% of microcirculation of the tissues becomes latent or non-functional. Similar issues occur in athletes and weekend warriors of all ages due to overtraining. In a nutshell, the blood flow decreases and the body circulate less nutrients (amino acids, glucose, electrolytes, water, etc…) and less oxygen. This causes the accumulation of toxins, which can impair or totally arrest the metabolism of cells. Cupping enhances self-healing by improving blood flow and causing the body to regenerate capillaries, reducing inflammation and toxins, and promoting homeostasis.

Cupping helps ease conditions such as :

Tendinitis Bursitis Plantar fasciitis Tennis or Golfer's elbow Postural and chronic neck pain IT Band SyndromeHip bursitis Fibromyalgia Knee Pain Shoulder Pain Anxiety Fatigue Headaches Cellulite .

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Myofascial cupping helps break up bindings in the myofascial tissue to help your pain goes away. Traditional Chinese Hijamah/Cupping works on the same principles as acupuncture, following the lines of the meridians and is thought to align and relax qi by opening up the channels, thereby also targeting more specific maladies. In the past, the cup suction was always created using fire, which consumed the oxygen in the cup and created a vacuum. Although Fire Cupping is still used today, at Cordoba Health specialized cups are used that do not require fire and use a pump instead. A typical sessions will consist of the use of acrylic cup domes for which massage cream is used to create a seal, and a hand pump is used to pull air out of the cup which creates a suction effect and pulls up the tissue. Through this process, the skin, superficial myofascial layers and superficial muscles layers are pulled into the dome through negative pressure. It is thought to affect tissues up to four inches deep from the external skin! Contracted, congested muscle tissue will often soften quickly with only a few minutes of negative pressure Cupping.

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure too). Not only does the negative pressure feel great, it also helps draw out the inflammation. It is thought that by this process, dead cellular debris, poisons, stagnation and excess fluids are drawn to the surface, which short of cutting the skin and pulling it out, is the best place for the lymphatic system to drain it away. In addition, the pulling action engages the parasympathetic nervous system, thus allowing a deep relaxation to move through the entire body. It is not unusual to fall asleep when receiving this treatment. Clients are surprised at how relaxed, warm and light they feel for hours- sometimes even days- afterwards!

The larger cups will mimic the rolling action of myofascial release without the discomfort. It has been called the 'deepest deep tissue massage' and 'deepest stretch' that you can experience. The variety of movements, from long and draining to circular and vibrational help to work out areas of stubborn knots and rigid tissue. The skin will redden with strong pressure, indicating that the circulation has been brought to the surface. Application of liniments, analgesics, tinctures, hydrosols and essential oils immediately post treatment will facilitate absorption of the product deeper into the tissue. The increased blood supply to the local muscles and skin will bring nourishment and stimulate the circulatory and lymphatic systems to carry away stagnation and toxins. Taking these benefits into consideration, THERAPEUTIC HealthCare also offers a cupping protocol before and after our prolotherapy treatments to enhance the effect of prolotherapy and improve outcomes.

HOW LONG DOES AN APPOINTMENT TAKE?

Depending on the condition being treated and a person's individual and personalized needs, the cups are typically left on for 1-15 minutes. When the cup is moved up and down the tissue, this helps facilitate break up of adhesion in tissue. Each treatment session typically lasts 40-60 minutes. Typically 2-3 treatments are needed, unless one continues to perform the activities that are building up the trauma again, then sessions need to be redone as a tune-up in 3-6 months. The last phase is to have to restore the range of motion that is missing, so for example if one has pain with squatting or bending the knee, therapy will be applied while performing those movements until the adhesions are felt to go away. This is then best combined with home stretching and exercise programs designed specifically for your needs by our practitioners to keep your tissue moving in the way it was released. This ultimately trains tissue to become elastic so that it doesn't bind up again and cause pain. Cupping is yet one more powerful tool used at Cordoba Health that complement other therapies to help you become pain-free and improve your function and performance

HIJAMAH/CUPPING
A Revival of Prophetic Medicines
Forgotten Sunnah.

Shoulder pain is a frequent condition influenced by multiple factors, including muscle tension, injury, or underlying medical conditions. Cupping therapy, an ancient practice with roots in traditional Chinese medicine, has gained recently gained popularity as a beneficial and comprehensive approach to alleviating shoulder pain.

This article delves into the intricacies of shoulder cupping, shedding light on its benefits and how it can be a game-changer for those grappling with shoulder discomfort.

Understanding Some Common Causes of Shoulder Pain

1. Rotator Cuff Problems

The rotator cuff, a crucial group of muscles and tendons in the shoulder joint facilitating a broad range of motion, can face issues because of excessive use, injury, or wear and tear associated with aging. Cupping therapy effectively manages shoulder pain, including problems related to the rotator cuff muscles.

2. Calcific Tendonitis

Calcific tendonitis involves the formation of calcium deposits in the tendons around the shoulder. This condition can cause intense pain and limit the range of motion. Exploring the formation, symptoms, and impact on the shoulder joint will provide readers with a detailed understanding.

3. Frozen Shoulder

Known as adhesive capsulitis, frozen shoulder brings stiffness and pain to the shoulder joint. Explore the stages of a frozen shoulder, contributing factors, and potential complications, focusing on the trapezius muscle.

4. Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis, a degenerative joint disease, can affect the shoulder joint, leading to pain, swelling, and reduced mobility. Detailing the causes, symptoms, and impact on shoulder health will provide readers with valuable insights.

5. Fractures and Dislocations

Shoulder fractures and dislocations can result from traumatic incidents or accidents. This part of the article will explore the types of fractures and dislocations, their immediate effects, and potential long-term consequences on shoulder function.

How Does Cupping Therapy Work?

Cupping therapy, using special cups to create a vacuum seal on the skin, significantly affects blood pressure and shoulder cupping points. This vacuum enhances blood flow, relieves muscle tension, and promotes natural healing.

Clinical evidence shows that it demonstrates noteworthy improvements both statistically and clinically in shoulder pain index, disability index, shoulder flexion, abduction, and external rotation. Cupping therapy replicates an analgesic effect with no identified adverse side effects, making it potentially safe.

How is cupping performed?

There are various cupping techniques, and the steps differ based on the chosen method. The cups are typically left in place for several minutes, with some treatments involving brief movements to stretch and massage the area.

Cupping methods include:

Dry Cupping:

The provider heats the inside of each cup, creating a vacuum by removing the air. This can be done traditionally with a flame or, more modernly, using a suction device.Running Cupping

Similar to dry cupping, wet cupping involves applying lotion or oil to the skin. The cups are then gently moved in different directions over the affected area, enhancing the therapeutic effects of cupping therapy.Bleeding Cupping:

In traditional medicine, the provider lightly punctures the skin with a needle before placing the cups. This technique facilitates the release of toxins through the suctioned blood captured in the cup, enhancing the therapeutic benefits of cupping therapy. What types of cups are used?

While most providers commonly use glass or plastic cups, cups can also be made of:

Bamboo.Ceramic.Metal.Silicone.Benefits of Cupping for Shoulder Pain

Cupping therapy offers numerous benefits for individuals seeking relief from shoulder pain:

Pain Reduction: By promoting blood circulation and releasing muscle tension, cupping can significantly alleviate musculoskeletal pain, including shoulder pain, chronic neck pain, joint pain, and arm pain.Improved Range of Motion: After cupping therapy, many find increased range and shoulder mobility, emphasizing the positive impact of this alternative therapy on well-being and stress reduction. Cupping targets tight muscles through negative pressure.Relaxation: Cupping induces a state of relaxation, aiding overall well-being and stress reduction by targeting tight muscles through negative pressure, benefiting not just chronic pain but a variety of conditions.Non-Invasive: Unlike surgical procedures, cupping therapy is a non-invasive approach with minimal risks, particularly beneficial for connective tissues and blood vessels. This alternative therapy also emphasizes a lower level of pain, providing a gentle yet effective option for various conditions. What Should You Expect After CuppingSkin Marks

Cupping leave circular marks on the skin, typically painless and fading within a few days. These marks, resulting from the suction, indicate the therapy is working effectively and are distinct from localized skin burns, ensuring a safe and temporary aftermath.

Slight Soreness

Some individuals may experience mild soreness in the treated area after cupping therapy, akin to the sensation following a deep tissue massage. It’s important to note that these mild adverse effects are temporary and typically subside quickly.

Conclusion

“Cupping therapy, a natural and non-invasive complementary therapy, is an effective approach to managing shoulder pain. Whether you’re dealing with rotator cuff problems, calcific tendonitis, frozen shoulder, osteoarthritis, or the aftermath of fractures and dislocations, cupping therapy stands as a valuable tool in your journey to shoulder pain relief. Explore the benefits today with Integrative Physical Therapy — your path to a pain-free, mobile life awaits.

Q1: How many cupping sessions are recommended for shoulder pain relief?

A1: The number of sessions of cupping therapy for shoulder pain relief varies based on pain severity and individual response. Generally, relief is often experienced after a few therapy sessions. Consult a healthcare professional or licensed cupping therapist for personalized advice. They can assess your situation and suggest a treatment plan involving regular sessions over a defined period for optimal results.

Q2: Can I perform shoulder cupping at home, or should it be done by a professional?

A2: It is recommended to seek the expertise of a trained professional for shoulder cupping rather than attempting it at home. Creating suction on the skin requires expertise to ensure safety and effectiveness. Professionals can assess individual needs, apply appropriate suction, and monitor for adverse reactions.

Performing cupping at home without proper knowledge may result in injuries or suboptimal outcomes, potentially elevating the pain level. To ensure safety and effectiveness, consult with a healthcare provider or cupping specialist before attempting it independently.

Q3: Can cupping therapy prevent shoulder injuries?

A3: Cupping therapy manages conditions, not prevent injuries. While it improves circulation and reduces inflammation, it isn’t a surefire way to prevent shoulder injuries. Prevention involves proper posture, exercise, and avoiding overuse. Consult a professional for personalized advice on shoulder health. Individual responses vary, so seek guidance from a qualified provider or cupping specialist based on your needs.
