As part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, today we’re focusing on an incredibly important and sensitive topic: Su***de prevention 🧡
Every life lost to su***de is a tragedy that deeply affects families, friends and communities. It’s also a stark reminder of the silent struggles many people face. It is estimated that 1 in 5 people will experience suicidal thoughts in their lifetime, but with the right support, these thoughts do not have to become actions.
Even when things feel overwhelming or hopeless, there is always a path forward. Many people who have experienced suicidal thoughts go on to live a fulfilling, meaningful lives with the right support and understanding surrounding them. You don’t need to go through difficult times alone, talking can be the first step to healing. If someone close to you or you yourself are struggling, simply reaching out can be life-changing. There is always help and there is always hope 🧡
