TravelmansF..ckUp: Got a call a couple of weeks back asking me to rebuild a wall end fir a company who’s lorry had hit a wall.
They sent a photo, which looked like somewhere that I recognised.
So I agreed to do the work.
Today I turned up at where I thought it was only to find no damaged wall..
Turns out I didn’t know where it was, because the actual wall was 28 miles away in deepest Lancashire!!!!

To make it even more fun, the wall was built with mortar and as hollow as a hollow thing.
I blundered on and built the wall end dry…..
Won’t make that mistake again….. until the next time!!

Farm wall repair a valley over with . This beauty was a heady mix of horrid field stone and building stone.
Came out alright in the end… grand!

ShedmansDelight: finally tidied up a few odds and ends on the building I’ve been on with since time began. Everything has come together nicely and it sit just how I’d envision it being before I started.
A big thank you to everyone that was involved in helping me get this project completed.

The ol’ truck has had it’s usual little dip into the garage for some bits and bobs. New thermostat housing to cure a persistent leak. New B6’s and some softer new rear springs to help her ride a bit nicer. Thanks to in the village for having everything I needed in stock and J Wright & Sons for fitting it all together.
New injectors next as it’s getting a bit smoky first thing…. Grand

ThinMansQuest: Treated to a couple of days deep in urban Huddersfield. The cherry on top for the rural lad was walling absolute beer mats for stone. About 20 courses to the top on the back side at only 80cm high. Blebbed a bit of mortar on the toppings at the customers request (Theft Prevention).
All in all a good little job…. Ace

StackmansDelight: and I piled up this decent sized crash repair a valley or two over, this week.
The stone was pretty horrid but it’s made a decent enough wall.
