Shared Lives Kirklees carers offer day support, short breaks and long term accommodation for adults

Today (10 Oct) is World Mental Health Day, one of our favourite Snowdogs and the message behind it is Harleigh Quin at Co-op Holmfirth, designed by Platform 1, Helen Lawrence and Harleigh Walsh.

The chequered pattern of the Harlequin represents the many issues people who struggle with their mental health may have to deal with.

We had a great time yesterday in the glorious sunshine at the Shelley Village Gala meeting people, spreading the word about Shared Lives and of course playing spin the wheel.

Some of the Shared Lives team were down at the Huddersfield Giants home game on Friday and were joined by some of our fantastic Shared Lives family (and a couple of Giants supporters 😀)

We enjoyed meeting people before the game and getting them to have a go at our spin the wheel whilst spreading the word of our service ❤️

We will be at future upcoming home games (next date is Sunday July 10) so look forward to seeing you there!
