🌸✨ Join Us to Celebrate International Women’s Day! ✨🌸

The Women’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Project, in collaboration with our Working Together Partnership, invites you to a special International Women’s Day celebration on Wednesday 4th March:

📍 Empire House, First Floor, WF12 8DJ
🕙 Registration: 10:00–11:00am
🕑 Event finishes at 2:00pm

This is a day created by women, for women — a space to connect, reflect, create and celebrate together.

🎶 We’ll begin with music and singing from Emily and the amazing women from our Huddersfield music group.
🎨 Enjoy a short presentation from Gina at Arttastic, showcasing beautiful creative work produced by women accessing services in Dewsbury.

From 12pm, you can choose from a range of empowering workshops (sign up at registration):

🌿 S2R – Aromatherapy
🎨 HOOT – Visual Art Workshop
🧘‍♀️ CLEAR – Mindfulness Activity
🪨 Carers Count – Pebble Painting

💼 Staff from Waythrough and Cloverleaf Advocacy will also be available throughout the day to offer support and information around employment and advocacy.

🌙 To respect Ramadan, only light refreshments will be available throughout the day. However you’re very welcome to bring your own lunch if you wish.

A fantastic evening celebrating the launch of Culturesof_ Stories in Motion

Stories in Motion has been created collectively by the communities of Kirklees, bringing together 70 films and stories made by local people. Each piece reflects how culture is lived, shaped and shared across the borough.

We’re proud to share that one of our films is featured in the exhibition — go and check it out!

In December last year, hoot creative arts worked with the University of Huddersfield to pilot a placement for students studying Occupational Therapy.

Hannah and Ella, second year Occupational Therapy students, joined the team at hoot for 6 weeks to experience creative health in action and discover how being creative makes us feel good.
