We can’t give medical advice here.

In an emergency, please call 999, or 111 for urgent help. Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust runs the two main hospitals in Huddersfield and Halifax – Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital. We also offer planned diagnostic tests out of hospital from our two community diagnostic centres in Broad Street Plaza in Halifax and from the ground floor of the Emily Siddon Building, which is on Southgate on The University of Huddersfield Campus. We also provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre, and Broad Street Plaza and Bowling Mill, Dean Clough Mills - both in Halifax. This page is monitored during office hours and we endeavour to reply as soon as possible.

Zoe has been raising funds brilliantly all year for this appeal. We’ll be with her in spirit, if not in our running shoes! We wonder how many ribbons she’ll wear on the day? 👇

Our amazing marathon runner, Specialist Midwife Zoe, is gearing up for the big day in just two weeks time, running in support of our Maternity Bereavement Appeal.

She will be completing the run whilst wearing hundreds of ribbons, each one representing a much-loved baby who left us too soon.

If you would like to support Zoe's fundraising efforts and dedicate a ribbon for her to wear, you can donate using the link below and including your dedication:

Optical Diagnosis (OD) is transforming Bowel Cancer Screening.

Nationally, the NHS is saving up to £5 million a year, and since being introduced eight months ago, we’ve saved more than £2 million in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

OD is also helping us be more sustainable, as single plastic pots, labelling and energy to process samples has reduced. 💚

Well done to all our runners who took part in the Halifax 10k last weekend! 👟

A huge thank you to our amazing Halifax 10K runners who braved the rain on Easter Sunday to support CHFT Charity! 🏃‍♂️🌧️

Despite the challenging weather, our fantastic team showed up, gave it their all, and helped raise an incredible £1,300 to support projects across our hospitals.

We’re so proud of every single one of you, thank you for making such a difference!

Colleagues recently came together for Frailty Champions Day where they learnt more about frailty, dementia care, safe mobilisation and preventing deconditioning.

They ended the day by making pledges to take learning back to their wards and clinical areas.

Our frailty teams are already building on the success of the session – with more training events to come.
