S2R Create Space We have developed a reputation for diverse, inventive responses to the changing outlook of mental health service delivery.

We are an independent mental health and wellbeing charity, offering a wide range of FREE opportunities for people to get creative, learn new skills, improve their wellbeing and discover the great outdoors. S2R Create Space is a local mental health and well-being charity providing a range of creative, outdoors and well-being sessions and events for the people in Kirklees for over twenty years. S2R Create Space recognizes personal individuality, choice and abilities, by introducing different engaging elements and themes of involvement, individuals are in control of their participation, and can plan and set their own goals and outcomes.

Upcycled Seasonal Trees Workshop🎄

Join us this Thursday (20th November) from 1 - 4pm at S2R Create Space in Huddersfield town centre and build your confidence in using hand tools whilst learning how to upcycle wood to create a 4ft, free-standing seasonal decorative tree. No previous woodworking experience required. Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for woodworking.

Come and join us on Tuesday 18th November from 11am - 1pm and help us plant trees to mitigate climate change, improve biodiversity and provide a wellbeing asset for both ourselves and for future generations.

The Working Together Better Partnership are coming together for a special event to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers.

We are looking for refreshments or items for goodie bags for up to 50 adult volunteers. Ideas for donations and support are also very welcome.

Come and join us this Saturday (8th November) from 11am - 2.30pm at our Create Space building in Huddersfield town centre. Bring your broken or faulty items along to our friendly fixing volunteers who will show you that not everything that’s broken needs binning. Our fixers will tackle almost anything but no microwave ovens please.

Join us for a FREE drawing workshop led by Carolyn Hilton from Mindful Maker CIC and be guided to take 'a line for a walk' using a fine liner on plain paper, creating your very own unique piece of art.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities and offers the chance to learn a new skill while enjoying feelings of pride, accomplishment, focus and relaxation. Often described as 'yoga for the brain', Zentangle art can help reduce stress and anxiety, quieten the mind and support focus, concentration and better sleep.

Come and join us for our FREE in person sewing sessions at The 3 Strand Cafe, The Princess of Wales Precinct, Dewsbury WF13 1NH on Monday 10th November from 12noon - 1.30pm and take part in a visible creative darning workshop. Also, join us at The Arcade Pop Up, The Princess of Wales Precinct, Dewsbury WF13 1NH on Friday 28th November from 1 - 2.30pm and learn how to make hand quilted wheat bag covers.

If you can't attend in person, we are hosting FREE live online sessions on rag rug making on Wednesday 12th November from 9.30 - 10.30am and on loopy rag rugging on Wednesday 26th November from 9.30 - 10.30am, as well as sending out video recordings you can have a go at in your own time too.
