Today marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week (11th-17th May) and this year's theme is Action. At S2R, we believe that action for good mental health doesn't have to mean huge changes. Often, it's the small everyday things that help us feel more connected, supported and hopeful.

Action can look like:
🌱 Joining a community group
🎨 Trying something creative
🚶‍♀️ Spending time outdoors and moving your body
☕ Meeting others for a chat and a brew
💬 Reaching out instead of struggling alone

One small action you could take this week is to join us for one of our sessions! We offer a wide range of opportunities for people to get creative, learn new skills, improve their wellbeing and discover the great outdoors. Our workshops and courses include aromatherapy, gardening, sewing, physical and mental health, wellbeing and outdoor activities, all delivered in safe and friendly environments. Check out our May schedule here: https://www.s2r.org.uk/whats-on and if you find something you'd like to try, send us an email at: contact@s2r.org.uk to book your place.

We've also included one of the Mental Health Foundation's tipsheets in this post for you to use as a resource. Please check out their website for more information and resources: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/our-work/public-engagement/mental-health-awareness-week
