Colne Valley Chiropractic combines a modern evidence based approach with the traditional philosophy and practice of Chiropractic adjusting to offer patients an excellent health care service. Located in the Huddersfield Sanctuary, in the heart of Milnsbridge, Colne Valley Chiropractic is a Professional addition to this already established and reputable clinic. Chiropractic is a well established and regulated Health Care Profession, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical neuromusculoskeletal disorders, or in other words disorders of the joints, muscles and tissues which can cause pain, or otherwise effect the nervous system and general health. Primarily, treatment involves hands on soft tissue massage and other myofascial techniques, and mobilisation and manipulation of spinal and extremity joints. In many cases advice will also be given to patients regarding stretching and strengthening exercises, posture, ergonomic considerations and diet. Dr John Fullwood (Chiropractor), Director and founder of Colne Valley Chiropractic, graduated with Honours from the University of Glamorgan’s Chiropractic Program in 2005, where he studied with Donna Campbell, founder and owner of Huddersfield Sanctuary. He then spent almost 3 years working at 2 highly successful clinics, Birkdale Chiropractic Clinic in Southport and Chiropractic Associates Preston Ltd, where he continued his education and experience working alongside excellent Chiropractors with many years of professional experience. For the past 5 and half years he has continued his Chiropractic Education in the US, completing his U.S. Additionally during this time he has gained further clinical and managerial experience as the Medical Director at Diamond Ranch Academy, a successful residential treatment centre for troubled teens in the Western United States. In 2013 John returned to his home town of Huddersfield to further his practice of Chiropractic, and settle once again in the Beautiful setting of the Colne Valley. In establishing a clinic here, he aims to bring the clinical expertise he has acquired over the past several years to treat the people of this area, in a professional caring manner, and assist many who suffer with back pain, neck pain, joint pain, head aches, and other neuromuscular conditions find relief in a natural and effective way.
