Welcome to Acre Street Runners.

We are a local running group of mixed abilities. We are based at Focal Community Centre, New Hey Road, Oakes. We also have a walking group.

We meet on Monday and Thursday evenings and also on a Tuesday morning.

Should you wish to join us, please drop us a message or pop in to Focal on a Monday or Thursday evening, 6.15pm onwards, for further information and details.

We look forward to hearing from you.

I’m so proud of celebrating TBV’s 4th birthday this week! It’s been an amazing 4 years, full of positivity and success! Supporting my members on their weight loss and well being journeys is such a privilege, and I’m always truly honoured when each member walks through my door! Long may it continue! Cheers to the next 4! 🥂

Very many thanks to all who supported our ASR Quiz Night for Alzheimer's at FOCAL Community Centre last night.

Thanks to all who brought food and drinks to share, and raffle prizes, and for contributing to a night of fun, during which we raised another £220 for Alzheimer's Society

Special thanks to Kim Hurst in the kitchen, Janet Fretwell for raffle/food, Snehal Patel also for the raffle, and of course our firm (but fair) quizmaster Howie Russell
