🌟 Reflecting on another week of what I love...🌟

Beyond proud of my clients this week...

The shifts they are making, their commitment to this process and that fire inside them to keep going and to never give up on themselves. And when I say never giving up, it is in the softer sense that I mentioned more recently.

It is the moments where people...

🔸️Show themselves compassion
🔸️Trust that this is happening even when it is not a 'quick fix'
🔸️Choose themselves in situations where they may have put themselves last
🔸️ Start to feel more connected to what brings them joy, peace, safety
🔸️Believe healing is possible
🔸️Get aware of moments where they can break patterns and make small changes
🔸️Believe in themselves
🔸️Express what they need more help with
🔸️Get honest with their role in what might be keeping things feeling stuck
🔸️Realise that they have the inner power to support their brain and nervous system to feel safe again

It is a joy to be a guide for others to shine bright in their own unique ways 🌟

🟡 How might it feel if you could throw some things out of your stress bucket? 🟡

All sorts ends up in that bucket...big events from life that may have been beyond your control, small events from day to day that have added to the overwhelm, negative thoughts about what you've said or done, and thoughts of frustration as you beat yourself up for all of this...

When the bucket gets full this is when we feel stressed, anxious, angry, and low in mood. The survival brain will do everything in its power to try alert us and to protect us in this way.

In these moments it is often easy to ignore the whispers, and to carry on doing what we think we "should" do...

If this pattern repeats for a while we can feel stuck , exhausted and day to day life can feel too much.

But the good news is...

We can change this! Little by little this therapy allows you to empty that bucket and it allows more space for the good things in life! The joy, the freedom, whatever you want to create that matters to YOU!

Right now you may feel like you are just surviving but you can THRIVE!

🌿 The bridge between where you are and where you want to be...🌿

Imagine you are stood on one side of this bridge. You don't actually really know what is waiting on the other side, or how you might get there.

You sometimes look at the other side and wonder if you will ever get there. You can't help but think there must be an easier way or would it just be better to stay where you are? All of these thoughts are the survival brain just doing what it thinks it needs to do to keep you safe.

But you can train it bit by bit to know it is safe to change...

Not in one big leap from here to the other side...

But small steps to making changes, and step by step you find yourself crossing that bridge without even realising.

There may just be things waiting on the other side of the bridge that you never expected...

And the best bit...

You get to create it all!

🦋 Life is a series of stories that form the script of your life. Upgrade the script, upgrade your life...🦋

Here are some examples of stories you may have been telling yourself...

" I'll never be good at that..."
" I'm not good enough to do that..."
" I can't do that because what will.....think?"
" Nothing ever works out for me..."
" I always attract people who treat me badly..."
" What is the point?!"

The brain loves evidence so it will want to have proof for all these things.

It will seek out situations that keep these stories alive.

Until....We interrupt that.

These are all subconscious patterns stored in the survival part of the brain. The part that operates on loop. The part that wants to keep you safe.

We can consciously choose what we want instead from the part of the brain that is more balanced, rational and positive (pre frontal cortex).

Then we can keep feeding the brain evidence for the new things and that's the script of life that takes over!

It is never too late to change regardless of how old those scripts are...

🧠 The space that gives your brain a break...🧠

Many people think of therapy as heavy, or something they don't know if they are ready for because they don't know what they will unearth.

Well solution focused hypnotherapy is different...

We focus on what you want, not what you don't want; and where you're going, not where you've been.

The space is a place of safety, not pressure. A space where your brain and nervous system get to experience what ease can feel like.

A space where change IS possible!

"There is a future version of you that is so proud that you never gave up..."

I used to say to myself 'never give up' but I didn't know what I know now. All I knew was pushing through and being what I thought was 'strong.'

Knowing what I know now, I mean this in the softer sense of never giving up on what you need. What your nervous system and brain needs to feel safe, loved and enough.

🦋 When you slow down, your wings don’t stop, they strengthen 🦋

In a world that prioritises go go go, how about we flip the script and make room to be sloooow, sloooow, slooooow.

You might think it is lazy to relax or that you have to earn rest. But it is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

You brain needs it, your nervous system needs it.

My clients get to spent half of each session relaxing. A space where there they don't need to be anywhere and don't need to do anything. Guilt- free relaxation. The moments the mind and body realise the feelings of calm and safety are possible.

The opposite means living in survival mode with no space to fully experience life beyond the rush.

If you take some moments to slow down, you might just uncover what life is like when you can THRIVE and not just survive.

We are primed to survive, that survival brain (subconscious mind) is always going to try to keep you safe and if that means injecting fear into a situation, that is what it will do...

BUT

Neuroscience tells us we can change that. We get to decide with our conscious mind what we want to believe, and the more we repeat that, the more the subconscious mind knows we are safe.

➡️ The brain loves repetition so why not start the process of repeating a new story today...

✨️ Choose one positive phrase that you are going to say to yourself on repeat ...
