I'll be honest — sharing feedback like this always feels a little uncomfortable, like I’m showing off or feeding my ego.
But actually, I’ve come to realise that this kind of reflection isn't about me — it’s about how people feel in the spaces I hold. It offers a little window into the experience of Embodied Movement, especially for those who might be curious or unsure about joining.
So, with that in mind, here’s some deeply touching feedback I recently received:
"Katy's Embodied Movement sessions form an essential part of my week. It's one of the few diary slots that is non-negotiable! Every session offers delightful new discoveries. No matter how I start the day, I leave feeling relaxed, renewed and thankful that I attended.
I've practised yoga for years and used to be a stickler for classical yoga poses, but Katy's fluid approach has been a welcome revelation. No striving for pristine lines or holding poses to the max. No pretensions. Just joyful, creative and caring exploration that nurtures both body and mind.
I love the permission and encouragement to embrace the movements for ourselves alone, to truly listen to our needs and to drop the temptation to 'perform'.
Katy provides a warm, supportive and fun environment for all ages and abilities. Injuries and off-days aren't a barrier: they're accommodated and accepted. The challenges are there in plenty, but you choose how far to take them... and that’s more than okay.
Embrace saying "hello" to all those forgotten and unknown muscle groups... in a kind “hiya, it’s nice to meet you” way, rather than the “ouch, you’re not going to let me forget you” kind of way."
Reading this felt like such a full-circle moment — a reminder of why I do this work.
If you're curious about what Embodied Movement could feel like for you, I'd love to welcome you in. No pressure. No performance. Just space to explore, feel, and move in a way that truly honours your body.
With love,
Katy x
