🌺 Remembrance Day 2025 🌺

Today, our residents proudly wore their poppies as we gathered together to watch the Remembrance Day service on TV. We all paused for the two minutes of silence, remembering and honoring the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

It was a moving and meaningful moment for everyone — filled with pride, reflection, and gratitude. ❤️

A big thank you to our wonderful staff for helping our residents take part in this special day and for creating such a thoughtful and respectful atmosphere.

We will remember them. ❤️🌸

🎉 Employee of the Month – Our Wonderful Sharon! 🎉

If you’ve ever stepped foot in our kitchen, you would definitely hear our Sharon before you seen her! 😄

This month, we’re celebrating our very own Sharon, our amazing Kitchen Assistant, for being awarded Employee of the Month!

Sharon is the heartbeat (and the voice!) of our kitchen — always chatting, and laughing, . She never stops talking, never stops smiling, and definitely never stops working! 💪🍲

Her kindness, warmth, and sense of humor brighten our days — whether she’s helping serve meals, making residents laugh, or keeping the whole team on their toes with her stories.

Sharon, thank you for everything you do and for being the cheerful spark that makes our kitchen such a happy place. We don’t know what we’d do without you — or what we’d hear without you! 😉💛

🎆 Fireworks Night Fun!
At Alderlea 🎆

What a brilliant evening! Our residents loved watching the fireworks — especially the part where Fran bravely lit them, then immediately hid behind the wall like the brave woman she is 🫣

Meanwhile, Nicci’s screams could probably have set off a few car alarms — who needs sound effects when you’ve got that kind of enthusiasm?! 💥😆

Our residents seemed to enjoyed them plenty of laughs, plenty of bangs, and not a single singed eyebrow (a success in our book!)

It was truly an amazing afternoon — our residents, along with the Alderlea team, had such a fantastic time listening (and singing along!) to all the familiar tunes. ❤️

🌊🎶 A huge thank you to our amazing sea shanty singers! 🎶🌊

What a fantastic afternoon we had — the singers were absolutely brilliant! Our residents loved every moment, singing along, joining in with the actions, and smiling from start to finish. 🎤💃🕺

It was such a joyful atmosphere, and we’re so grateful to the performers for bringing so much energy and fun to our home. ⚓💙
