As August draws to a close, let’s create a gentle space together. 🌙

Find a quiet corner, light a candle, maybe bring your favourite crystal or a comforting cup of tea. Take a few deep breaths and allow your shoulders to soften.

Open your journal and write at the top of the page:
💬 “What am I ready to release?”

Let your pen move without judgment. Release old stories, heavy feelings, or habits that no longer feel like you. Imagine the words lifting off the page and dissolving into the candlelight, leaving you lighter, clearer, and ready for the month ahead.

When you’re finished, close your journal with gratitude. Take another deep breath, and feel the spaciousness you’ve created for new beginnings in September. 💕

🌿 Affirmation: “I release what no longer serves me, and I welcome in peace, clarity, and new possibilities.”

I own about 10 pairs of scissors, but these are the ones. My ride-or-die. My perfect cutting companion. If I’m heading out to a workshop or setting up to create, you can bet I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure these beauties are right there with me.

It’s a funny thing — the bond between a maker and their favourite tool. Some people have a go-to pen, others a paintbrush… for me, it’s these scissors.

Yesterday I had a card reading booked with a client. I don’t do them very often these days, but every now and then the cards whisper a story that needs to be heard.

Four cards fell into place: Closing Door, Indecision, Mind Full, and Cornucopia.

At first glance, they told the tale of someone standing on the edge of change. One chapter has come to an end (Closing Door), yet the next step feels uncertain (Indecision). The mind races, tangled in what-ifs and the voices of others (Mind Full).

But here’s the magic — when the decision is made, when the old is gently closed and the mind softens, the path ahead opens into abundance and joy (Cornucopia).

✨ The message was clear: don’t fear the ending, don’t drown in overthinking — trust your choice, and everything will come good in the end.

A reminder for us all, perhaps, that sometimes the universe just needs us to take that one brave step forward. 🌹
