Yesterday we welcomed back Rain and Bloom to help our residents create some beautiful Christmas wreaths to go around the home! 🌿🎀

It was a lovely afternoon learning something new and all who took part said how much they’d enjoyed themselves! There was a lot of chatting and laughter with our resident Nick describing us all as a “jolly bunch” 🎅🤣

Thank you Niamh for your expertise and kindness! We look forward to having you back to do some more flower arranging in the new year!💐

After all the chaos we finished our day off with a celebration for Betty’s birthday! 🎂 …it’s not everyday you have a christmas fete in your own home, on your birthday🧑‍🎄

❄️ Saxon Manor Winter Fete ❄️

This afternoon we welcomed you all into our home for our brilliant winter market! 🎅

We enjoyed incredible and lively performances by Diamond Hamper Choir and Ella Hudson Vocalist! They had us all signing and dancing along! 🎶🎵

We shopped from some amazing stalls:
⭐️ Nanna"s Crafty Basket
⭐️ Pats preserves and pickles
⭐️ Freya’s cakes
⭐️ Imajayne Creations

Our charity craft stall managed to raise £144 for Diamond Hamper Choir through selling handmade jewellery by carer Sophia, handmade crafts by Roz (a residents daughter) and, of course, our amazing stockings knitted by our residents! 🧦👩‍🎨

Our raffle and tombola raised £198.50 which will be going straight back to our residents for activities 💸🩷

Thank you to all who came and supported us today. Thank you to the staff who worked hard to ensure a smooth day! 🌟

The Saxon Manor family is constantly growing and it warms our hearts to have such wonderful people coming together 💝

One of our lovely residents Margaret confided in our team that she’d always wanted to try out green hair after watching the 1948 film ‘The Boy With Green Hair’ when she was younger…

This week she made that wish come true with the help of our hairdresser Carolyne!💚

Don’t worry! It’s only a wash out hairspray - meaning some of our lovely care team joined in the fun with her and made their hair turn temporarily green!🎄
