Today we’ve been on Holly ward in Hinchinbrooke hospital to see what else we can do to help make their hospital a better place to get better 🏥 💙

A little update on our broken doors 🚪

We will let you know as soon as they are fixed.

Please follow the signs from either the children’s unit or main entrance car parks 🚗

Entrance at Children’s Outpatients Department, Hinchingbrooke

Please be aware that the main doors to our department are currently broken and out of use. Signage has been placed on the doors to direct our patients to the closest alternative entrance. Please continue to park in the car park closest to Children’s Outpatients.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and would like to thank all our patients and their families / carers in advance for their understanding.

We loved the early visit from Santa when he dropped off all the amazing toys.

SCBU staff have been getting creative, making Christmas decorations to bring in for a competition. Nerea, our Divisional Nursing Director chose 1st, 2nd and 3rd place today (as shown in front of the tree).

Thank you to Wilco’s in Huntingdon who came to our rescue with two new trees for the ward along with decorations after we found ourselves treeless 🎄🎄
They also very kindly donated selection boxes for our patients 🍫
Thank you so much for your generosity, both the tree and the selection boxes are a big hit with our families.
