Everyone had great fun celebrating World Nutella Day as we made a delicious Nutella Orange Cake together. Everyone enjoyed helping with mixing and preparing the cake, and the dining room was filled with a wonderful aroma as we grated fresh orange zest. Lots of smiles, teamwork, and excitement — we can’t wait to try the cake once it’s baked! 😋🍰

Everyone had a lovely time at our sing-along session this afternoon. We enjoyed singing along to a variety of favourite songs, filling the room with music, smiles, and laughter. The songs sparked many happy memories, and it was wonderful to see everyone reminiscing and sharing stories connected to the music. A truly joyful and heart-warming afternoon for all 💕🎵

Everyone enjoyed a lively indoor games session this afternoon! 🎯

Unfortunately, the Norris Museum object handling session had to be cancelled. Despite this, spirits were still high as we made the most of the afternoon with lots of games and laughter. We played ball games, target throws, boules, and parachute games, with many smiles as we cheered each other on.

One of the highlights was the parachute challenge, working together to try and get the juggling ball into the middle. We didn’t quite succeed today, but the concentration, teamwork, and encouragement filled the room! 💪🎈
We’ll definitely be trying again next time.

Everyone had a lovely time at Tina’s Personal Shopping Experience! 🛍️

There were lots of smiles as everyone enjoyed browsing the rails and choosing clothes they really liked. It was also a wonderful social occasion, with plenty of chatting, laughter, and asking each other’s opinions on different outfits. A fun and relaxed afternoon that everyone truly enjoyed 💕

Another fantastic afternoon spent with the amazing Liam and Catherine from Fitness Rush!
From mirroring exercises and getting moving, to playing games, sharing plenty of laughs, and enjoying great chats- perfect mix of fun and fitness. The old school classics kept us motivated and smiling throughout! 🎳🥰💪🏼

UpSwing Circus Skills Training 🎪✨

We had a fantastic afternoon during our Upswing Circus Skills Training session, filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of smiles. Everyone enjoyed having a go at different circus tricks, cheering each other on throughout.

We tried some hat tricks, even making up a new game by throwing the hat like a frisbee – it wasn’t as easy as it looked, but Barbara did it brilliantly! Peacock feather tricks followed, which quickly turned into giggles and a few tickle wars. Emilio, one of our team leaders, impressed everyone by balancing a feather on his nose!

Of course, we couldn’t miss out on the juggling balls. Jean amazed us all by balancing a ball on her glasses, and some people reminisced about how good they were at juggling when they were younger.

Lastly, we cooled down by singing along to music while trying to make different shapes with the twirling ribbons, ending the session on a calm and joyful note. It was a truly lovely afternoon of circus-style fun! 🎶🎪✨

National Hot Chocolate Day ☕️🍫

We couldn’t let National Hot Chocolate Day pass us by! To join in the celebration, we went around the home with our Jolly Trolley, delivering delicious hot chocolate straight to everyone’s rooms.

There were plenty of smiles as they enjoyed a cosy cup, with some choosing to add cream and marshmallows for an extra special treat. A lovely way to warm up and enjoy a sweet moment together! 💕

Everyone had a brilliant time at the Hunters Arms Pub Quiz this afternoon! 🍻🧠

They tackled a variety of general knowledge rounds while sipping a drink of their choice, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and great conversations throughout.

John had everyone in stitches when he jokingly answered the question “What is wrapped around beef in the dish Beef Wellington?” with “Boots” — a moment that definitely stole the show! 😂

A huge congratulations to Jean and Linda for winning today’s quiz. Well done to everyone for taking part and making the afternoon such good fun! 🎉👏

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Gav Spencer’s performance today. From the moment he started singing, the room was filled with music, laughter, and smiles. Gav had everyone singing and dancing along to the songs, creating such a lively and joyful atmosphere. Many hand holdings and socialising as we finished the show with a ‘Sweet Caroline’ sing along!

So many people commented on how much they loved the afternoon and how lovely his voice sounded. It was clear how much the performance lifted everyone’s spirits, and it was a pleasure to see so much engagement and happiness throughout. We’re already looking forward to welcoming Gav back again soon! 🎶💃😊
