❤️🤍 Last week we had the privilege of conducting a truly special funeral service for Pauline, a wonderful lady and a much loved wife, mum, nan and friend to many. Her final journey was made even more meaningful as she was accompanied by the stunning Fred and Joen, 2 gorgeous black horses who were adorned with blue/white and red/white plumes to honour both Pauline and her late husband Derek's love of football and the teams they supported - a beautiful and fitting tribute that reflected her spirit and love of life. It was a touching farewell, filled with dignity, grace, and heartfelt moments that will stay with us for a long time.
Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones during this difficult time 💙🤍

A massive thank you to the wonderful staff at Townies Carriage masters! It’s always lovely to work with such a dedicated team!

Stephen Wool, a loving husband & a hardworking family man, has passed away leaving behind a family who will miss him so much. As a Dad, he enjoyed sharing his love of sport with his sons both on & off the football pitches & golf courses. As a grandfather he brought warmth & humour to his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing with them, be it games in the garden, kicking a football or dancing round the kitchen. Stephen is survived by his wife Jane, sons James, Jonathan & Andrew, grandchildren Jodie, Annabelle, Lucas, Oscar & Monty, daughters in law Sophie & Christy. They all have memories to cherish.

Mr Stephen Frederick Wool sadly passed away on Friday, 3rd April 2026. Details of the funeral date and arrangements are available here on their Funeral Notice page.

Sara, one of our team members has been supporting another branch in running their Grief Café every Wednesday in Cambridge, this was her 3rd week there! 💛
It’s a really important space where people can come together, talk openly, and feel supported in what can be a very difficult time. We’re proud to see our team helping make that possible.
If you or someone you know might benefit, you’re very welcome to come along. You’ll find a calm, understanding environment and a friendly face ready to listen.

We are proud to share that Sara and Maria have officially launched our new grief café, Comfort and Conversation, at St Andrew’s Church, Cherry Hinton.

Our sessions run alongside the community supermarket and free café, helping to bring people together and support the wider community in a meaningful way.

We are already looking forward to returning next week and continuing to offer a safe, welcoming space for anyone who may need it. 💛

If you would like to come along, you will be very welcome.

At William Peacock’s Funeral Directors, we were honoured to support a special donation of Easter eggs to Women’s Aid in Peterborough, made in loving memory of Simone 💛❤️
This small gesture brings a little comfort and joy to women and families during what can be a very difficult time, especially over the Easter period. It is a privilege to help create tributes that not only celebrate a loved one’s life but also make a positive difference within the community.
Simone’s memory lives on through this act of kindness, spreading warmth, care, and a touch of Easter joy to those who need it most.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this possible. 🐣

This year we are collecting Easter eggs to donate to Women’s Aid, an organisation that provides a safe refuge, practical help, and emotional support to women and children experiencing hardship and crisis. They are currently supporting the family of Simone Smith who was taken far too soon, Simone was a victim of domestic abuse!
If you are able to donate an Easter egg, we would be so grateful.
It’s a simple act of kindness that can bring a little comfort and a smile during a challenging time. 💛
Donations may be dropped at our office over the coming days—thank you for helping us support this family and the amazing work of Women’s Aid.
William Peacocks, along with Women’s Aid supported a wonderful family who sadly lost their daughter, sister and auntie to domestic abuse.
Simone’s family have given us permission to share her story.

One year on after the murder of Simone her sister Karina speaks about the impact on their family and importance or raising awareness about coervice control. ...
