This year we are collecting Easter eggs to donate to Women’s Aid, an organisation that provides a safe refuge, practical help, and emotional support to women and children experiencing hardship and crisis. They are currently supporting the family of Simone Smith who was taken far too soon, Simone was a victim of domestic abuse!
If you are able to donate an Easter egg, we would be so grateful.
It’s a simple act of kindness that can bring a little comfort and a smile during a challenging time. 💛
Donations may be dropped at our office over the coming days—thank you for helping us support this family and the amazing work of Women’s Aid.
William Peacocks, along with Women’s Aid supported a wonderful family who sadly lost their daughter, sister and auntie to domestic abuse.
Simone’s family have given us permission to share her story.

One year on after the murder of Simone her sister Karina speaks about the impact on their family and importance or raising awareness about coervice control. ...

Mother’s Day can be a difficult time for those whose mum is no longer with them. 💐
We warmly invite anyone who would like to take a moment to remember their mum to pop into our funeral home and write a memory card in her honour and hang it on our memory tree.
You might like to share a special memory, a message, or simply a few words that remind you of her. These cards will form part of our remembrance display for Mother’s Day.
Please feel free to drop in during our opening hours. Take a quiet moment, share a memory, and remember the love that will always remain. 🤍

Even outside of normal office hours, our funeral staff remain on call because loss does not follow a schedule.
When someone passes away, families need immediate support , not just practically, but emotionally. There are important first steps that must be handled promptly and professionally, whether it’s 2:00 in the afternoon or 2:00 in the morning. By being on call, our team can respond without delay, offering reassurance and guidance at a time that often feels overwhelming.

This weekend our wonderful staff members Steve and Mike are on call to be with you in your hour of need.

This week, we had the privilege of guiding a devoted Formula 1 fan on his final journey, a man whose passion for the roar of engines, split-second decision making, and checkered flags never faded.

Formula 1 was more than a sport to him, it was a passion, a rhythm that matched his own heartbeat.
It was therefore only fitting that this weeks service reflected that lifelong love. Amazing tributes to the world of Formula 1 accompanied him, a brightly coloured coffin featuring an f1 car being just one, this honoured the joy and excitement it brought into his life. Just as every race is a journey of focus, teamwork, and determination, so too was his life — driven with purpose, navigated with resilience, and lived at full throttle.
As we carried him on this final lap, we did so with respect, dignity, and gratitude for having known a man who embraced life with the same passion he reserved for race day.
Though the engines fall silent and the track grows still, his spirit — like the echo of cars speeding down the straight — will remain with those who loved him.

❤️ A reminder for this week:
Grief and love often sit side by side - and however you’re feeling, you’re not alone. Take your time, be gentle with yourself, and know that support is always within reach.

If you or someone you know could use a bit of extra help, these organisations offer guidance and someone to talk to:
