Hill House is located in the centre of the village of Ellington, a short distance from Huntingdon and the local beauty spot Grafham Waters. The Home enjoys strong links with the local community and benefits from the amenities available. Residents can enjoy the quiet location overlooking our immaculate gardens with the parish church and local pub, The Mermaid, a short and pleasant walk away. Hill House was opened in 1982 and offers the very best in residential care. The original home has been sympathetically and tastefully extended with a number of pleasant bedrooms added with cosy day areas for our residents to enjoy. Residents may relax in the lounges provided which are perfect for entertaining friends and family. Most bedrooms are en-suite with a television point, telephone access can be provided. Although rooms are fully furnished, residents are welcome to bring with them items of furniture and personal possessions so that their room can be a true ‘home from home’. Residents are assessed regularly to ensure their needs are met. Visits are made by an optician and chiropodist by appointment, and the in-house hairdresser provides all the usual services. Catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, special diets can of course be catered for. Hill House has a dedicated Activities Coordinator that can arrange for residents to partake in as many, or as few, activities as they wish. Care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills, but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. Staff are available around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.
