Yesterday morning, Knowsley Chamber hosted an excellent AI Adoption for Businesses event in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Engineering at Central Hub in Liverpool, bringing together local organisations to explore how artificial intelligence can drive measurable value while managing risk responsibly.

Thank you to Royal Academy of Engineering team for the welcome and setting the direction for the day and continued support of innovation across the local business community. A special thank you to Paul Turner, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at ThinkIQ Holdings, for a highly engaging session on the current AI landscape, emerging trends, opportunities and risks, helping businesses better understand how AI can be applied in practical and meaningful ways.

Thanks also to Giles from the Royal Academy of Engineering for expertly facilitating the interactive sessions, encouraging open discussion around personal perspectives of AI adoption, peer learning, and effective risk management. The adoption journeys session provided valuable real-world insight into how organisations are approaching AI and overcoming challenges to deliver impact, with contributions from Chamber Member John Devine at TCD Energy.

Finally, thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions making the session engaging and interactive. The quality of conversation, shared experiences and thoughtful questions demonstrated a strong appetite across the region for responsible and strategic AI adoption.

This morning Knowsley Chamber hosted our first event of 2026, a Business to Business at Boxpark Liverpool.

It was a morning of building great connections and learning more about each business in the room. The morning started with an introduction to Bathgate Business Finance who are Strategic Partners of the Chamber, thank you to Paul Trickett for delivering key information on Bathgate and their services.

Following this, attendees then had the valuable opportunity to deliver a 60-second pitch and engage directly with other local businesses, fostering meaningful connections and collaboration.

Our sincere thanks to Boxpark Liverpool for hosting this event and supporting the local business community. It was great to see both old and new business contacts in the room!

Knowsley Chamber has marked a year of continued growth, collaboration, and community impact at its 36th Annual General Meeting, reaffirming its role in supporting businesses and driving economic prosperity across the borough.

During the AGM, Chief Executive Rachel Peak highlighted the Chamber’s mission to champion businesses through connectivity, knowledge, and strong stakeholder relationships, noting the continued success of the Invest Knowsley “One Front Door” model and the coordinated approach delivered through the long-standing partnership with Knowsley Council’s Business Growth team. Alan Seeley, Chair of the Chamber Board, also spoke thanking businesses for attending and celebrating a fantastic year for the Chamber Team. Alan outlined the Board’s continued commitment to strong governance and strategic leadership.
In 2025, the Chamber welcomed more than 70 new members, two new strategic partners, and delivered over 30 events focused on business development, networking, and skills. The Chamber also expanded its team to strengthen support for its growing membership and continued its long-standing role as delivery partner for the Working Well programme, enhancing workforce health and wellbeing since 2011.

The AGM also recognised the achievements of Chamber members, reflecting the strength, resilience, and ambition within Knowsley’s business community. The Youth Chamber initiative continued to progress, welcoming new schools and expanding engagement with education partners.

Knowsley Chamber extends its thanks to Coburn McKenna Chartered Accountants for attending the AGM and presenting the financial figures for the year as well as James Stack for photographing the morning.

Working Well – Here to Signpost You to Support This Christmas

As Christmas approaches, many amazing charities and CICs across Knowsley are working hard to support families, young people, and vulnerable residents but they need a little extra help to make the magic happen.

At Working Well, we’re here to signpost you to the right support.

We’ve connected with local organisations and pulled together their Christmas Wish List, filled with simple but meaningful ways you can help: toys, raffle prizes, festive treats, volunteers, sponsorship, and small donations.

Working Well is proud to guide businesses to the services, charities, and opportunities that strengthen our community. If you’d like to help with any of the wishes, please get in touch with the Working Well team.
