WORKING WELL UPCOMING EVENT📢
In just over two weeks you will find Working Well at Knowsley Parkrun!

On Saturday, 16th May at 9am, join us and other local businesses at Stadt Moers Park for a morning focused on health, connection, and community.

Run, walk or spectate... it’s up to you! Whether your staff are experienced runners or complete beginners, everyone can take part at their own pace. Parkrun is about movement, not competition. We’d love to see your company represented. You are welcome to bring your team, advertise your company logo, and be part of something positive for Knowsley's community.

After crossing the finish line (or cheering on from the sidelines), join the Working Well team for a post‑parkrun coffee. A great chance to connect and unwind together!

Working Well Update📢
The Living Well bus will be in Huyton town centre (outside of Iceland) today, Monday, the 27th April, 10.30am-4.00pm to offer drop-in cervical screening (smear tests).

The mobile unit will operate as a drop-in service for those, aged 25-64, who are overdue their cervical screening or have missed any previous appointments, and will provide a safe, comfortable and private area for cervical screening appointments to take place.

The cervical screening test itself should take less than 5 minutes and the whole appointment should take around 10 minutes. You can bring someone with you to your appointment, such as a friend, family member or chaperone, to make you feel more comfortable

WORKING WELL UPDATE📢

One of our Working Well ambassadors, Maureen Gildea Therapies & Wellbeing hosted an insightful session on Strategies for Managing Stress and Anxiety. The workshop began by exploring stress and anxiety and the effects it has on our emotional, mental and physical wellbeing which was met with emotional freedom techniques, tapping guidance and sound healing.

The session was educational and interactive as attendees not only learnt about empowering techniques that will help improve their overall wellbeing but also had the opportunity to practise these within the workshop.
Attendees left feeling calm and empowered equipped with their own personal toolkit of practises and techniques to counter balance the stress and anxiety we may face, which has made a lasting impact on all who attended.

Knowsley Chamber Member Update 📢

The Prescot School is inviting local employers to support their Year 9 Mock Interview Day on Wednesday 13 May 2026.

This event gives pupils the opportunity to take part in a one‑to‑one interview with a real employer, helping them build confidence, develop communication skills and gain valuable insight into the world of work. Students will be fully prepared in advance, and interview questions can be provided if required.

This is an excellent opportunity for Knowsley Chamber members to support local young people while strengthening links with education and the future workforce.

In the lead‑up to the event, pupils receive dedicated lesson time to learn interview etiquette, practise responses, and prepare thoughtful questions. This experience arrives at a crucial point as students begin considering their GCSE options, making employer involvement especially impactful.

Working Well Update 📢

The SMOKEFREE WORKPLACES TOOLKIT has been developed to empower workplaces of all sizes and sectors to prioritise employee health and wellbeing. With support from Working Well and Smokefree Knowsley, it provides practical resources to support a smokefree workplace.

Smokefree Knowsley is available to offer help and support to those in workplaces who wish to stop smoking right across the borough. Their service is extremely flexible either via the telephone, face to face or online.

They can provide a bespoke package that can work around your working hours at your convenience. Stopping smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health.

Smokefree Knowsley can offer you up to 16 weeks of Ni****ne Replacement Therapy ie They will send a code to your mobile phone that can be used to dispense your Ni****ne Replacement Therapy at any Knowsley Pharmacy. Alongside this they offer behavioural support from an experienced stop smoking advisor. It is proven that you are 4 times more likely to quit smoking with support.
