Over the past year our funeral director, Stacey Booth, has been working with PCRefurb as a Digital Wellbeing Champion helping people stay connected through a difficult stage of our lives. Last night Stacey was awarded a Queen's award for her work by the Mayor of High Peak, Ollie Cross. Stacey works incredibly hard in her role with Remembrance Community Funeral Services but still manages to find the time to support our lovely community. May we take this opportunity to thank her for all her hard work 👏❤️

With a sustained drop in dementia diagnosis rates for the first time ever, the has conducted research to understand the key barriers and benefits to getting a diagnosis.

As well as the misconception around memory loss just being part of getting old, their research found being in denial, and referral times to specialists, are big barriers for those experiencing symptoms to seek a diagnosis.

This , we want to encourage those who might be living with, or close to someone who might be living with, with undiagnosed dementia to:

- Be able to understand and recognise potential dementia symptoms.

- Reach out to the Alzheimers Society for guidance and support.

- Feel empowered to take the next step.

- Improve the diagnosis process for both them and healthcare professionals.

We encourage those who are concerned they or a loved one may be experiencing signs of to contact the Society for and guidance.
