The TRUTH About The Famous 'Celebrity' Keto Diet That's Doing The Rounds!

But firstly - the BAD NEWS! You've probably heard of the 'Keto' Diet and the celebrities that are using it to lose weight quickly. But the bad news is that MANY people are doing Keto all WRONG! Today, we want to look at the seven BIG reasons why...

BIG KETO MISTAKE 1

Not eating enough FAT!

The first mistake people make - and this is very common - is that they simply do not eat enough fat.

Why? Because through years of propaganda, many people are scared of eating fat. However, the truth is as long as you stick to good fats (monounsaturated), then this is the essence of the ketogenic diet and the reason why it works.

You must eat ENOUGH fat to get results with keto. When you do, your body switches from burning sugars to burning fats instead, which will accelerate your weight loss.

How much fat is enough? Most ketogenic diets recommend a minimum of 60% of calories from fat.

If you do not know how much fat you're eating, we recommend using a tracker like fitday.com to ensure that you're eating enough fat every day. You simply enter your foods into a tracker, and it will tell you how many calories per day are coming from fat. Like we say, aim for 60% plus.

BIG KETO MISTAKE 2

Eating too MUCH PROTEIN!

Eating too much protein is another extremely common error. People think that because they're minimising carbs and eating fat, they can eat a lot of protein as well.

The problem is if you eat too much protein it actually converts into sugars, which will kick you out of ketosis.

You will therefore lose ALL the benefits of the ketogenic diet!

The ketogenic diet is actually a high-fat, low-carb, and low to moderate protein diet. Generally speaking, that means you should be eating less than 80 grammes per day of protein. This is more than sufficient to meet all your daily needs. Again, you should be tracking the amount of protein you eat and not eat more than around 30% of your calories from protein.

BIG KETO MISTAKE 3

Not tracking what you're eating! This relates to our first two points

People GUESS when they're doing Keto. They eat random foods that they think are keto, and get it wrong.

We mentioned protein, we mentioned fat, and you also want to monitor your carb intake.

Aim for: around 60% of calories from fat, 20 to 30% from protein, and 10% or so from carbohydrate. You can use services like fitday.com to track those, and it's imperative that you track it. Otherwise, you're just dieting in the dark!

BIG KETO MISTAKE 4

Checking if you're in ketosis (or not). It's well worth getting some analysis sticks to check whether you're in ketosis or not.

As long as you stick to the macronutrient profile mentioned above, you should work your way into ketosis after around five days or so, for some people, a lot less. To check whether you're actually in ketosis, you can use urine analysis sticks (available from Amazon, eBay and other stores). This is a great way of just checking for sure that you're using the ketogenic diet properly.

BIG KETO MISTAKE 5

Not supplementing with electrolytes!

When your body is adjusting to a ketogenic diet, it dumps minerals such as sodium and potassium.

This can lead to fatigue and cramps, so it's important to take on good electrolyte. We recommend you use our keto electrolytes available in our shop to do this. https://ketofire.co.uk/products/ketofire-electrolytes

BIG KETO MISTAKE 6

Believing just a keto pill will make you thin!

Look - keto is a GREAT way to lose a lot of weight

But don't think 'keto pills' will do all the work for you. They won't.

You need to use these pills in CONJUNCTION WITH your keto diet.

In our shop, for example, we offer our own KetoFIRE pills, but we say to use these in conjunction with the ketogenic diet and the tips you can see above. Just taking pills on their own while eating anything you want is NOT going to help you lose weight. You need to use these pills in conjunction with the correct dietary approach. BIG KETO MISTAKE 7

Not using Keto supplements correctly!

Big keto mistake number seven is not using some of the UK-baesd supplements that are available for people who want to lose weight with the ketogenic diet.

In our shop, we have a variety of different products that can help you.

For those who want the best results in minimum time, we recommend our KetoFire Ketogenic Weight Loss Starter Pack. This is available at www.ketofire.co.uk
