My rule of thumb is to leave it about 6 months before expecting communication from loved ones, this is to avoid interrupting their adjustment to the spirit realm and thus their spiritual growth. Reiki promotes healing for the physical body as well as the emotional and spiritual bodies. The 3 are intrinsically linked - if one hurts, they all hurt. Often, physical pain or issues may be transmitting from damage to your emotional or spirit bodies, understanding where this radiates from highlights to direct the Reiki energies and helps you understand how to prevent a repeat build up.
